The word garden is a stretch, it's a park. Maybe there is something lost in the translation. It's the most beautiful park though. It's like going to a park that is manicured better than more golf courses. A great spot if you have kids for sure! It was a great way to sit and unwind and people watch before some... more
As you are sitting in the Luxembourg Gardens it is the sound of the gardens that is best - people talking, people laughing, the constant sound of gravel crunching under foot as people walk past. Nearby the children are sailing pondboats across the large pool in the middle of the gardens, running around to the other side once their boat... more
These gardens are just the best gardens in Paris, there are loads of different kinds of flowers, paths, a tenis court, chess game tables...If you want to take a break somewhere while visiting Paris, this is the place to go, just grab a sandwich and a chair near the central fountain and relax...They also often organise concerts and exhibitions! more

This is definitley the place to go if your ever in France. It is a peacuful and buetiful site to see. And unlike the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame it isn't a huge tourist trap so you can actually get around. It is also a great place to go if you have small children because they have a huge play... more

Afterwards we walked through the park, finding the lovely pond with it's ducks and children pushing sailboats... more
I skimmed over the reviews and apparently someone mistook this for a hotel. This is a garden/park, not a hotel. The grounds are lovely. This is a great place to take a walk around or for families with children to come (there are play areas). The palace is wonderful as well - you can't go inside except once a month... more
Not far from Pantheon, St Sulpice, Les Invalides... Palais du Luxembourg is an art museum with traveling exhibits. Les Jardins du Luxembourg includes reflecting pond, fountains, statues of French queens, etc. Wonderful for a few hours or an afternoon in the park... great place to sit & read, people-watch, etc. During the spring/summer, the city puts out thousands of chairs... more
We spent a lovely day at Luxembourg Gardens, lots of seats out for you to just relax and enjoy. We also went to see a traditional puppet show which was enjoyable even in French as the story was known and loved being the 3 little pigs which most people already know the story. My daughter then had a pony ride... more
