I was disappointed to find out how Dirty the River was, there is absolutely no awareness or responsibility to preserve and Keep Clean, very Sad , the River deserves much much better than this, Plastic bags, Beer cans, Wine bottles are lined up along the shores :(:( More

We went on the boat tour and its not worth it. Its very crowed and all you can see is the tops of the buildings (we had to sit inside) maybe if you got on the upper outside deck it would be better but it was a waist of time for me More

A great way to want to spend half a day in Paris is to visit the the Pere-Lachaise Cemetery in east Paris where you can see the graves of Jim Morrison, Chopin, Sarah Bernhardt, and many others. It is shaded and a wonderful place to stroll for an hour or so. Then take the Metro to Juares and take the... More

Take the night cruise just before 10pm: it is around 1 hour in length and you will see the Eiffel light show twice, both at 10 and 11pm. Worth the late night! More

This was the first thing I did when I reached Paris. We took the boat troip around 10 pm and it was really nice. You could see all the monuments and its even better and calm at night and less crowded. The commentary that they give during the cruise was also very good. It gave me an overview of where... More

We enjoyed a cruise on the River Seine (just under an hour). It was lovely and gives a different view of the city sights with an interesting commentary in about 4 languages More

The River pretty much "inhabits" most of Paris; so, no matter where you go, you will have a view of it. I would recommend, however, taking one of the river cruises BEFORE you start sightseeing; it is an inexpensive way to have points of interest pointed out to you and (through free audio-guides) the relevance explained. They offer audio cruise tours down the seine. Its fun, relaxing and you get to hear a little about things you wouldn't see from the streets. More

We were in town for a birthday party, being held on a Seine yacht. Cruising in the evening was wonderful, our return pass by the Tour Eiffel was timed to match the lighting of the strobes. More

It was fun seeing the little souvenir and art booths along the banks. I noticed that in certain places where you can cross over bridges, there were hundreds of padlocks placed onto the wire fencing along the bridge. Vendors sell the little padlocks so you can put you and your loved one's initials on it and "lock your love" in... More
