Don't feel like you are missing something if you don't do the cruise, like advised by all the travel guides you read about Paris. Seine is magic on its own. It is enjoyable in so many ways. Not just by hopping on a boat. My husband and were just back from Paris a couple of days ago and guess what,... More

Walk the Seine holding your sweethearts hand or arm in arm. There are quieter places even in the city. Enjoy the booksellers, stroll, relax, stop at a cafe! Enjoy!

What an excellent service. This is a public service and we found to be most efficient and reliable. we had a 3 day pass and this proved to be great value for money. we managed to make full use of this service during our 4 day stay. Plus great views along the Seine Highly recommended. Malcolm S Stott 9/10

We went on the boat in the afternoon, just before sunset. The boat was packed with people on both decks, but everybody had great views of the city from the boat. The banks of the Seine were packed with people enjoying a great afternoon after work. People were waving from passing boats and the banks of the river. It was... More

Beautiful river running through the centre of paris! Paved on both sides, you can walk along it as much or as little as you like! Walked most of the central run and was so nice, lots and lots of nice cafes either side selling amazing food. Lots of cruises and boats float on it and I think they are quite... More

We to a couple of long walks along the Seine, people watching and looking at some wonderful buildings ... It provides easy walking access to all the great monuments of Paris If you get tired walking as I did, there is something called the bateau bus. The small shops along the edge are pretty neat if you have time to... More

The perfect way to enjoy seine is by taking a stroll along its bank and experiencing Paris on foot. As such there is nothing to call it a special must visit place since seine flows through the backdrop giving a very scenic atmosphere. To enjoy, hop into a restaurant or try outdoor cafes and you will have a better experience... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
