A visit to Paris is not complete without a stop at Fauchons or so I always believed. The floor staff is always helpful. The meringues are delicious but the pate is over priced -and simply because it is the Fauchon name.

Pricey store, beautiful packaging. Found the staff friendly and we were offered 'free bees' to taste. Chocolates and maccarons look wonderful!

We entered this resturant as it had quite a quirky interior. Immedietly we were spotted and someone said hello straight away. As we came in, we asked whether we could sit in a specific place, the gentlemen serving us said no very abruptly and said he needs to hoover. So told us where to sit. Anyway my collegues and i... Stunning and slick modern interior. The quality of the products sold here are consistently delicious and only the best ingredients are used. What a treat to eat a great pate, or have a superb macaron in about 30 flavors. Unbelievable!

Fauchon has always been my fav gourmet food shop in Paris, no exception this time. I and my friend bought macarons, jam, gift basket, and we dined at the cafe onsite. Friendly service and very good food, we even loved the menu design =)

Fauchon is a big name in Paris and wel deserved. I love to shop there whenever I get the chance because they have so many special food items that you can't find in other places. They are of course well known for their macarons and chocolates, but also visit the rear end of the store where you will find all... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
