Fauchon is another one of the top end confectionery boutiques in Paris. The store at the Place de la Madeleine is great. Busy and full with everything you'd ever want - teas, macaroons, pastries, etc. Great!

A friend of mine left me a pickup gift at Fauchon and I was really existed to finally get an excuse to visit the much acclaimed shop. I must say I was utterly disappointed and shocked at the poor quality of service, lacking basics like saying “hello” to customers when they enter the shop. I mean I shop at Yves... More

I visited Paris in November and stayed in the Madeleine area (specifically the Hyatt Madeleine) and this place was around the corner less than a five minute walk. There are two Fauchons one has all the gift packs and delicious truffles, teas, etc and the other is the deli/restaurant and ready made take away meals. This place is fabulous. The... More

Visited Fauchon in December and the place looks beautiful and Christmassy. We had some macarons and tea at the shop and bought a gift pack; they were amazing and taste great too. The staffs at the counter were helpful and speak English fluently. The prices are high and we expected that. Overall it was a good experience and will visit... More

Mention this name and eyes light up with memories of sweet tit-bits chomped on delicately over the years. You don't have to be a gourmet to indulge a passion for high quality deli essentials, but this address, no matter how congested, will always make a purchase feel like you are a super-star. The pleasures of consuming some delicacy or another,... More

Fauchon is a well-known establishment in Paris. You can't miss the place located in madeleine square .The place and all the food and sweets look like a museum everything looks amazing ant taste great too. The prices are very high but I think you have to experience it at least one time.

I had the salmon with blinis for lunch and it was really fantastic. Also looked around the shop for a bit to buy some gifts and I felt like the staff was really cold and snobby. Some people were nice but I felt that the overall atmosphere was pretty cold.

Every time I am in Paris i can't avoid to visit Fauchon. You can find here the best products of French (and not only ) gastronomy. Food, wine, dessert, ... The presents I buy here are always welcome from my family/my friends. One unique negative note: last time I have discovered they don't sell (no more) cinammon in pieces... a... More

Of all the times I have been to Paris, this is like a set in stone pass through to pick up beautiful teas! It's best to try to plan it near the end of your day so You are not lugging around tea all day! I have it down to a science of getting the largest size bags, packaged in... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
