Charmingly elegant and exquisite is an understatement of the experience you gain walking through the doors of this beautiful chocolate and sweet provider. The appearance and furnishings take you back to the 1930s though you can see the owners are proud of what they have to offer - a huge range of exquisite and high quality chocolates and sweets. One... I bought their book some time ago, and could not wait to visit. It's a little like stepping back in time. I decided to soak up the atmosphere and look at every single thing (more than once) before making my choices. I only wish I could fit more in my suitcase. However, I did walk out with quite a few... we found this amazing shop whilst walking from the Euro star to a restaurant on a day trip.Like going back in time.Bought many presents here for last Christmas, only downside was that I did not check the sell by dates and so some gifts were out of date for the gifts.A wonderful experience just to look at the shop.

This french "épicerie" is marvelous, a bit retro which makes it's charming, I can only speak for their Ice Cream. Not to many flavours but you only need one: Mint !!! To die for ! It's like you just picked your ice cream directly out from the garden

The windows of this wonderful sweets shop are impossible to pass by without entering. Words can not express how delicious and enticing everything looks. You feel like you've gone back into time where craftsmanship and artistry ruled the day. If you are anywhere near this sweet shop while in Paris you must visit. A true treasure of the city.

I wandered by this shop and decided I had to go in. There are so many beautiful creations in the windows, and going inside feels like being, well, a kid in a candy store. Everywhere you turn there's more beautiful food. I ended up selecting a bar of dark chocolate, a medium box of their specialties, and a box of... More

The chocolates in this shop were delicious and everything was beautifully presented. It is expensive, but very nice quality. Recommended are the praline chocolates - very rich praline centre with an exterior chocolate - exquisite. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience as to the friendliness and level of service experience by other reviewers. We were the only 2... More

Wonderful and interesting selection of sweet French treats. If you are in the area it's atmosphere is intoxicating and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
