Located at l' ile St. Louis Bertillon is an institution in Paris for years You can find a waiting line some times Ice cream are delicious around 3 euros I agree the serving is not huge but Quality does not mean quantity I pay 4 bulks for a gelato in Florida The price is fair in Paris Nice pedestrian area

Every time we come to Paris, we always try and sample the Berthillon ice cream. Because it was August, the main shop itself was closed for the summer holiday, so we bought some from a nearby shop. The cassis sorbet was out of this world. These are the best ice creams we have ever tasted (sorry NZ's Tip-Top 'Hokey Pokey).... More

Sometimes there is a huge line, sometimes not. Always worth the wait. We tried Framboise, Citron verte, apricot, chocolate, vanilla. Yes, the scoops are small for 2.50 euros for a small, but wow, what flavor! You actually think about the flavors you are eating, because they are delicious and interesting.

I know opinions vary as do people's palates. But, as far as me and mine are concerned Berthillion by far has the freshest and best ice cream in Paris. They may not have the most expansive selection or the largest scoops ( even when you do the double) but for flavor you just cannot beat them! You can actually see... More

Loved the ice cream at this shop but we would've loved it even more if the servings were slightly bigger. I would still come back and would recommend that you try this place if you love ice cream and appreciate quality over quantity.

I didn't know about this place but my wife did. "You won't regret it" she said, so we joined the line out front and waited our turn to fork out €3 each for single cones. I had Banana and she had Fig... We'll let me tell you, my wife was right! Probably the most delicious ice-cream I've ever had.

I'm not an ice cream afficianado, but my husband and kids are. Thumbs up from all of us (except the prices, but what can you do, it's the best in Paris). My husband and son got their usual something-chocolatey, but I ventured out for something new. It was basil, yes basil, and I think lemon. The best ice cream, and... More

As an attraction, Berthillon is situated in St.-Louis-en-l'Ile, a quaint neighbourhood - very pedestrian-friendly - great for a quiet stroll (with your yummy ice cream). It's proximity to Notre Dame also means you can tick the boxes off both in the same trip. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Berthillon sells fantastic ice creams/ glaces. My favourites: Wild strawberries, mandarin... More

We stopped at Berthillon frequently during our stay in Paris, alternating with Amorino which is practically across the street on Ile St. Louis. Some days the lines were horrendous, other times there were just one or two folks. Our favorite flavors are the noisette (hazelnut), Stracciatella (chocolate chip) and then all the fruit flavors but especially melon, pear and mango.... More

Sure, the queues were there, the hype was there and the anticipation was there as well! However the proof of the pudding is in the tasting (to coin a phrase) and although the ice creams we had were good, they were not the 'Man I've just gotta come back tomorrow for another' especially when the best and creamiest ice cream...
