The Catacombs was by far the most exciting, educational attraction in Paris. Yes you have the Eiffel tower, but if your willing to explorer the underground you will be amazed. no flash photography is allowed (decays the remains) so if you have a low light camera, please bring it. be kind to those who rest there. you will not forget... more

I thought this was something neat to do while in Paris. If you are looking for romance, then this is probably not the place for you. It only takes an hour or so to go through. Maybe it's because they've been overhyped by friends and acquaintances, but I wasn't totally blown away by the catacombs. We had a good experience - we were there early so there was a short line and we were basically by ourselves in the catacombs (with the thousands of bones of course)!
