Beautiful (and huge) store

I loved this store with its ornate decor and dome! What I saw of the goods on offer was wonderful. Just wish I'd had more time to peruse at my leisure.

Make Sure you spend over 175 Euro, and you can get duty free refund immediately. It is a massive collection of stores, definitely worth your time.

Visited this shopping centre with my girlfriend during a short 3 day trip in Paris. First impressions when you walk in are amazing and the service from every single store is perfect. Everything you could possible want is there and prices are competitive with the rets of the world. Well worth a visit even though it is a little out... More

We stumbled upon this gem by looking up and saw people. The building is behind the Opera House and if you go to the 8th floor there is a free observation deck. You can hang out, sit down, there were people tanning. It offers great views and it's free. We went back a couple of times, you just ride the... More

It is a very beautiful building, lots of shops and very big but nothing really special. If you want to shop they only have very few items of most brands, you better end up going to the brand main store and get more choices. I was just not impressed.

if you are not the shopping fan, but a small lunch and go straight to the 7th floor terrace, you can chill there with a snack and a great panoramic view

Not only are the shops wonderful, but the domed ceiling is a sight to see in and of itself. It is art! But back to the shops. They are all there - chanel, louis vuitton, hermes, celine, even apple watches! My daughter chose to shop at Topshop and American Apparel (thank goodness, lol). There are also many jewelry counters and... More

This was the second time we shopped at the Galaries and found a hidden attraction. The rooftop deck had the most amazing view of the city. The shopping was great too with the dollar relatively strong at the moment.

During start of our Paris trip, the guide introduced Galaries Lafayette as a place where modern fashion trends can be seen under one roof and rightly said so. This place has most of things related to fashion and latest too. Must pay a visit to understand relation of Paris with fashion.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
