I wanted to go to this "department store" because the interior is amazing and because I love to shop. I was told that we had to go up to the roof and take in the view as well. I am so glad we did. It's one of the best free vantage points in the city. Not to be missed.

Since I couldn't find the food hall under the restaurant section I've decided to write my review here. I went to the food hall for a quick bite to eat with a friend yesterday. Firstly the price was extremely expensive ( we were in a rush so didn't have much time). €10 for pasta from a fast food like restaurant... More

Actually, we only visited to see the beautiful Art Deco interior, not to shop! The stained glass dome is simply stunning! If you enjoy shopping, they carry endless brands of clothing, shoes, cosmetics, etc., etc. Everything from high-end to moderate items ... but recommend just to see the architecture!

Read about it online so I made a beeline for the rooftop terrace first! It was the first sunny day after almost a week of cloudy/drizzly days, so the crowd was out in force. Nice view over Opera and Boulevard Haussmann. But the same cannot be said for the interior of the building. It was overcrowded like a fish market!... More

Whether you are planning to spend up big time or just calling in to browse, it is still worth a visit. I won't comment on affordability in comparison to other shopping centres in this review. I have been to Lafayette on several different trips to Paris, some I bought nothing much and just admired the gallery interior, other times I... More

Galeries Lafayette owns a few buildings in the area. The 10 story building with the beautiful glass dome and the outdoor terrace at the top is opposite to the Opera Garnier and contains the beauty department. The glass dome and balconies are spectacular and beautiful. The summit terrace provides good views to the city. The food cafeteria is excellent.

I enjoy shopping but it had to be at a bargain. This place is rated well in Paris but it's way to expensive. If you like to shop make sure you bring plenty of $$$ P. Martini Sydney, Australia

Eve if you are not into shopping, this building can be an experience. It has a beautiful interior going up three floors to a dome. Floors four to the roof are above the dome. There is a roof top level which give great views over the city. As for the shops, there is just about every label in fashion you... More

This was my last stop on a long day trip from London. It is a beautiful, stunning building. It's worth walking in just to see it. The variety of items available is mind-boggling. When I think of French food I think of wine, cheese, chocolate, and pastries. I went straight to the food shops. Unfortunately I ran out of time... More
