So my friend wouldn't buy me that Gucci bag for 3500 euros. I ditched her. Balcony interesting. Awesome interior. Too pricey for me. Lunch was good.

The dome in the building is divine and everything is stunning to look at but the crowds were horrendous and most things were terribly expensive although that is part of the charm of the place. We couldn't wait to get out as it was so busy. Perhaps worth a look for the dome and if you like shopping and have... More

La Samaritaine was the first of its kind, in the nineteenth century. Also, from there, many important facts happened, such as oarades for the liberation of women and women vote. Unfortunately it closed some years ago. The reader may be asking him or herself why i am telling such story about some other shopping store. Just a second one: la... More

While considered often similar to the near by Printemps, GL department store has its own "cachet" in particular when it comes to its deli "corner" (which is rather half of an entire floor). There are lots of eating corners (with high chairs, etc) offering a large variety of food, but also lots of deli offering to chose from. A must... More

I generally prefer indoor shopping so this works for me. Plus they were on sale :-). However, it's mostly high end shops and designer labels so I guess it's not for everyone. The lifts take forever and a day, so if you have a push chair be prepared to wait each time you want to go up or down a... More

I wanted to go to this "department store" because the interior is amazing and because I love to shop. I was told that we had to go up to the roof and take in the view as well. I am so glad we did. It's one of the best free vantage points in the city. Not to be missed.

Since I couldn't find the food hall under the restaurant section I've decided to write my review here. I went to the food hall for a quick bite to eat with a friend yesterday. Firstly the price was extremely expensive ( we were in a rush so didn't have much time). €10 for pasta from a fast food like restaurant... More

Actually, we only visited to see the beautiful Art Deco interior, not to shop! The stained glass dome is simply stunning! If you enjoy shopping, they carry endless brands of clothing, shoes, cosmetics, etc., etc. Everything from high-end to moderate items ... but recommend just to see the architecture!

Read about it online so I made a beeline for the rooftop terrace first! It was the first sunny day after almost a week of cloudy/drizzly days, so the crowd was out in force. Nice view over Opera and Boulevard Haussmann. But the same cannot be said for the interior of the building. It was overcrowded like a fish market!... More
