The building and the decor are beautiful and impressive, with a luxury feeling in everything. On the other hand, the prices are impressive as well! It is worth a visit, but is not a good place to spend your money.

I love their art work in the centre of the store. Stuff is expensive so just compare what you buy before you commit to it. I would give their food court a miss. They have independent restaurants which I don't know much about.

We visited the area to see the upturned Xmas tree and were not disappointed - it was breathtaking and the dome housing the tree is just as spectacular. However, the store is a high end retail monster. Like Harrods in London, its doubtful there is anything that cannot be brought there. And of course then there is the crowds. We... More

l preface my comments by saying that l had much anticipated a visit to this beautiful store but was overwhelmed by the massive crowds.lf l were to visit again, l would arrive at the store's opening time as we couldn't really view the range of merchandise or see the true beauty of the store. After our visit to the main... More

This store is packed with tourists and everybody else. The food floor is interesting. It has many different kinds of foods, plus some restaurants. It is worth spending some time there to look at what is available and what people are buying. The department stores itself has plenty of varieties, some very expensive and some not so much. There are... More

First of all, bring all your wealth with you if you plan to come here. Spend the whole day, reserved your tummy for breakfast, lunch and dinner... haha, I'm kidding. It depends on what purpose you visit Lafayette. I would not buy my dream list of handbags at Lafayette as I rather shop at the brand bag dedicated store, LV,... More

I went at Galeries Lafayette specifically to purchase two handbags at Longchamp, they have like 5 Longchamp stores at the Galeries, the first floor one had a ridiculous line. I tried the one at the third floor and the WORST sales associate ever helped me find the bags I wanted. The place is so crowded it's kinda overwhelming... if possible,... More

Have already made plans to return to Paris to shop here. It's like a French Selfridges, everything under one roof. And the patisserie .... WOW!! Was very busy and seemed to have been taken over by a plane load of Chinese who were being served by a huge number of Chinese people. Still, a great shop. Definitely worth braving the... More

If you are looking for high end shopping and not for bargains there is plenty of quality designer merchandise here in this mega department store. However, its really, really crowded! There is a lot of helpful staff on hand (I asked directions frequently, didn't run into a single one who couldn't speak english) but this is a very big store.... More
