We are budget travellers so after a quick squirt of my favourite Jo Malone perfume we took the lift to the 8th floor then the escalator to the terrace on the 9th floor. There we found a very confusing self-service cafe. We had coffee from a machine and shared a rather nice tarte tatin which we took on to the... More

Nice warehouse, but the roofterrace of the restaurant on the 9th floor is not maintained, the food is very expensive and not fresh, the coffee comes out of an instantmachine and tasted awful.

They have done a great job of redesigning, upgrading, modernising and attracting an international clientele. However, now that brands have clued in that the retail experience is crucial, better go to their boutiques directly

i love this store! It is a smaller quieter Gallerie Lafayette. I usually go to GL first and look around then head to Printemps for they are always out of at GL. The sales staff is always very helpful. They were sold out of a pair of shoes I wanted and my sales lady had the shoes at the Printemps... More

Me and my friend visited Le Printemps store at Louvre today. We went to CHANEL counter, and there was one guy named Jia he was so helpful and nice. He made our experience even better, and he packed stuff that we bought so nice. If you are at Printemps at Louvre definitely visit CHANEL counter.

The shopping in itself is typical Paris - name brands, crowded with tourists, and expect to pay 1.50euro for a loo. BUT, the restaurant on the terrace at the top is absolutely worth a visit! Great gelato, incredibly friendly servers, and an unbeatable view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower on your right and Sacré Coeur on your left. Must... More

What a great shopping experience!!! It's what a department store should be and what we do not get in Canada any longer. They offer a great free service to help tourists claim a refund for their VAT taxes. Did lots of shopping here and good prices considering it's Paris! Try to see this place at Christmas time, the decor is... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
