These Parisian department stores are icons. Both are worth a visit for different reasons. The photo of the glass ceiling dome interior is Galleries Lafayette, which is a more posh shopping experience. Printemps is a wonderful everyday shopping destination. As a tourist, both offer a great opportunity to see Paris from the store rooftop. Printemps rooftop is very hip. It... More

While Printemps offers a phenomenal shopping experience, this grand store also has a striking façade that is even more impressive by night. We were here during the January sales, and after leaving the store we were struck by the dramatic lighting especially at the corner of la rue du Havre and le Boulevard Haussmann.

The Printemps megastore is one of the Grande Dames of High End Fashion in Paris. A wonderful store located on the Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement, it is home to all you'd wish to buy 0 fashion, clothes, perfumes, etc. A really beautiful building, it is worth a visit!

Rarely have I experienced such excellent customer service as I just did with Printemps AFTER a purchase made one year ago! The Furla purse I purchased there last January needed a repair and I had no idea how to approach it. An email to Printemps was immediately responded to, follow up was timely and they contacted Furla directly on my... More

I was here on a weekend, and this place was much more quiet and less crowded than its neighbour Galleries Lafayette... When I say quiet it literally means lesser crowds, but no letdown in its assortment of goods. This is quite a high end brands store, but a decent place if you want to buy something in the high end... My number one destination when doing a department store. Sure Galeries Lafayette with many branches deserves my attention as well, however this shopping temple covers four buildings, for the appreciation of fashion, cosmetics, men's and trendy urban. I like it for having numerous places to eat and drink from relaxed cafes to high-end dining, especially the brasserie which is lorded by... More

Full of global brands, sales are nice. Go the top of Printemps, there are a restarant, where serve all delicious food. But don't expect the waiters provide you a warm and patient attitude and face.lol.( That's the reason I saved my tips )

If you're in Paris for a short time only and don't have much time to shop around, Printemps is a good option to do your big Paris shop. Heaps of big brands, including all the luxury ones you expect everywhere in the world. Service is actually very good with plenty of staff and lots of English spoken if you have... More

We went to Printemps for two things, the fab view from the top of the building (outside from the cafe) and also for the chocolate shop. The view was very good, busy getting up to the top of the shop but worth it for the view. We also purchased some chocolate in their shop, it was very nice. Well worth... More

Advertised as one of the most expensive shops, it was a real surprise that I found a perfect present from the VIII floor. Okay, it might have been candies in a nice glass bottle but it was cute, I can use the bottle later and 3.90€! Everything else wasn't as cheap of course. It sill was a lot of fun... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
