Wonderful architecture! In fact I think you get the best view of the flying buttresses from a boat on the river - it also means you avoid the crowds!

Ok, so visiting cathedrals is a thing I enjoy when traveling in Europe. Allot of rich history at very little cost (or no cost in this case). Cathedral is impressive in every respect. One of my "bucket list" items is to attend Christmas Mass there some day. If you have the chance go!

Such a beautiful church. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this stunning building. Small queue outside with bag check etc. Free to enter but donations accepted. Mass takes place while visitors wander quietly around. The Rose window is stunning.

French gothic architecture at its finest complete with gargoyles. I love the view of the city from the top of Notre-Dame. If you want to climb to the top, then get up early and in line about 20-30 minutes before it opens. There is always a line when the attraction opens, and this isn’t covered with the museum pass. Sorry,... More

A must see while in Paris! It is everything and more than pictures can describe! This landmark could almost make the world Catholic once you have visited this establishment. The only thing that could have been better is if the Pope was there.

What a beautiful place. Has a nice feel to it as you walk around. Took 200 years to build. My advice is just walk around slowing take it all in its better than having one of the audio things. We loved it, had a look in treasury too.

Great to have a free attraction in paris city, it's a lovely neo gothic cathedral, pay 2 euro (suggested but not required) and light a candle. A magical place that will restore calmness within yourself in such a busy city.

A stunning cathedral, over 900 years old. There is a good explanation of the pre-cathedral site and the period of its construction. Surprisingly, admission is still free. Well worth a visit.

The cathedral is stunning and is a must for any visitor to Paris. The architecture is phenomenal and well worth seeing. The location on the river means there are lots of cafes to grab a coffee or snack too. As is the case in most big attractions, watch out for pick pockets and beggars.

The Notre Dame cathedral is beautiful from the front. We walked around one side and there's a children's play area, bizarrely, at the rear. Unfortunately that's all I can say about it, really, as the queue to get in was too ridiculously long on a Saturday lunchtime to contemplate such a shame, as this was one Paris attraction I had...
