Beautiful architecture and wonderful details especially on the Western facade. I just love those flying buttresses. My heart skipped a beat when I saw them the first time. Finally, I have made it to Paris.

Beautiful inside and out-lineups seem long but move fast- definitely worth the 422 steps to the gargoyle guarded towers

My husband and I visited Notre Dame twice with our 7-year-old son in the morning when it was less busy. It was interesting to explore the chapels. We enjoyed a climb to the bell tower for incredible views on a clear day.

The stained glass windows, architecture, holy feel, beauty - everything about this Cathedral is amazing. It feels so amazing to be inside, really really amazing atmosphere. Just loved it, didn't go up the towers, but heard it is very squashed, so didn't mind not going up there. The inside of the building though was just brilliant.

Stunning cathedral, long queue but fast moving. The cathedral is quite busy inside as you can imagine lots of visitors. You can light candles inside for a donation. I found a lot of people were quite rude and noisy considering it is a religious building however this should not stop you from going. Well kept. We were unable to climb... More

Notre Dame was breathtaking! I returned the next day and climbed to the top and took photographs. Do this! It's not that difficult. (You can pace yourself.) Also, have money on you because there is a gift shop half way up. Wonderful!

The awe of the chant in this wonderful cathedral leaves one at peace with oneself and the maddening crowns outside.

The Cathedral recently celebrated its 850th anniversary and ranks as one of Europe's finest gothic buildings. It is open 8am-6.45pm and is free to enter, photography is also allowed inside. If you wish to climb the towers, be prepared for long queues and 387 steps. The tower entrance is outside to the left of the main façade and costs €8.50.... More

We arrived at 8:45 am and breezed through the cathedral. By 9:15, there was a queue to get in. See all 3 rose stain-glass windows, but be sure to see the one to the left (original). Binoculars are handy to see center of window!
