You never expect the little gem of the chapel in the military complex and Napoleons tomb. it is attached to the tomb access and is quite beautiful. The military history and whole complex is quite impressive and some of the most beautiful cannons I have ever seen. Napoleons complex is really ornate and over the top, but very beautiful. The... The complex called Les Invalides comprises the Musee de L'armee, the Dome where Napoleon is burried and the excellent exhibitions about the two world wars. It takes more than two hours to visit everything and actually learn something, but if you don't have much time I recommend the armory and the tomb. Inside the Dome, pay attention that its not... Napoleon really amassed an awesome collection of things. Lots to see here. Gigantic. Architecture and grounds are beautiful. Definitely a must see!

This is a place not to miss when in Paris. The building is magnificent. And apart from Napoleon's tomb, there are other exhibitions related to the war from middle age to WWII. It's a very interesting place for those who like not only war artifacts but history lovers too. I'm not really into WWI or II stuff but the rest... More

The French now how to do it right. Napoleon's tomb right in the middle of this magnificent building. Make sure to read about the contents before entering to appreciate it more. The layers in the tomb, albeit the size. It is a shame that Napoleon never new how much he would be appreciated. He died thinking he was forever disgraced.

Wow - what a tomb! Has to be 30 times bigger than his body. Beautiful layout under the dome. worth seeing once.

This is wonderful museum about the military history of France. It doesn't hurt that the building housing the museum is spectacular. Be sure and allow enough time as there is much to see and do. The electronic battle maps are fascinating. The collection of weapons and equipment are first rate. An additional benefit is that most informational signage is done... More

The place should be high up on your must visit when in Paris. The two wings hosting the army museum's permanent exhibitions are awesome. On an annex, actually under the gided dome, lies Napoleon's mortal remains, surrounded by some other French military legends. The splendor of the place is astonishing. Do not miss the permanent exhibition concerning former French president... More

The location for the start of the Help For Heroes Paris - London Bike Ride 2013. A stunning building at the heart of a great city. Views over the city. Facilities for disabled people not very good. Cut the lawn and trim the shrubbery more often. Stop dogs crapping on the grass. Otherwise a great place to visit..

Went here kind of late in the afternoon spur of the moment. You can't miss the beautiful dome that sparkles golden and seen from many places in town. It looks pretty nice at night also. Entered from a quiet side street and came in through the gate of the veterans home. Saw many old vets in their wheelchairs out enjoying... More
