The information written on the walls in French give a good overview of the history of immigration into France and the place played by immigrants in the shaping of the modern country with a history of the Drafus Affair to the Vichi republic. I'd been wanting to visit this museum for awhile. Located a short walk from the Porte doree metro stop, this museum is worth a visit. It provides historical, demographic, and political takes on French immigration and emigration. Came across this by chance when heading to the large park nearby. The museum is located within an amazing Art Deco building. Superb external decoration and plenty of interest inside as well, including a couple of rooms furnished in the original style?
