My wife and I stumbled across a DiscoverWalks brochure at the 6th Arrondissement offices on Rue Bonaparte in St Germain Des-Pres. We had visited Montmartre a few years ago but decided that a second visit would be worthwhile. We met our guide, Margot at the Blanche metro station at the appointed time and spent the next two hours being educated... More

My husband and I were on our first trip to Paris and wanted to experience as much as possible in a short period of time. Discover Walks provided just what we needed to customize our stay. We spent an informative afternoon with Justine, who helped us become familiar with our neighborhood of St. Germaine, the metro, and how to find... More

We did the Montmarte tour with Eva on 7/3/14, and it was so much fun! We've now done several different walking tours in different countries, and the one thing that is the same everywhere is that it is the guide who makes or breaks the tour. Eva was just terrific- she has a wonderful bubbly personality mixed with a thorough... More

Easy to find as guides wear pink vests. Tour goes for 90 minutes. Guide was very approachable and answered all the questions people asked. I thought her English was good, but I noticed some older people weren't understanding it at all. The tour route did all the highlights I had read about, and it was a much easier walk than... More

Tried to do this tour but guide did not show up, I was at meeting point 30 mins before to 15 past meeting time. I called company to find out what was happening. They said guide was "sick", and they did not have my contact details - this is despite me leaving my details with the 3rd party I booked... More

Loved both of these tours!! You truly feel like you are walking with a friend and they are telling you about their city. They take you off the busy streets into little alleyways with tons of history and no people! True secrets of the city await you! Especially loved the Montmarte tour-our guide Pierre was great and so knowledgeable about... More

Tho expensive, this food walking tour was worth every Euro and more. Our guide, Phyllis, was from Philadelphia and full of useful info and a delight. We learned so much about artisanal cheeses, bread, chocolate, wine, olive oil and vinegar. We visited at least a half dozen specialty shops and had tastings at each. Tasting olive oils and vinegars was... More

We took several walks with Discover Walks Paris. We walked the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, Montmartre, Monuments and the Marais. Our guides, Laure, Justine and Sara were very knowledgeable and provided us with historical and anecdotal information making us get a true feel for their beloved city. They were each friendly and open to questions about the sites we were... More

My sister, her friend, and I went on the Left Bank walking tour earlier this year. The guide was French, young, nice, and intelligent. She knew things about the city that non-native French people would not and we saw things that I (having lived in Paris for 5 months) had not yet seen! She was engaging and funny and made... More

A solid tour of the Montmarte area by Rebecca. She delivered the history in a friendly and entertaining manner whilst throwing in some local knowledge, despite the rain. Everyone knows how these free walking tours work and we didn't feel she was at all pushy for her tip - which we were more than happy to give. Don't hesitate to... More
