I love taking free walking tours. Without exception I've really enjoyed them. Our guide Quentin took us on a tour of the Left Bank. He showed us the highlights as well as some places off the tourist trail. He was a great resource and happy to share suggestions on what to do in Paris. I hope to take the Marais... More

This is a great way to wander around the interesting Barri Gotic neighborhood of Barcelona, taking the narrow side streets you would normally not choose, and hear many distinctive stories about the history and inhabitants of the barrio. The Discover Walks guide, Patricia, had many personal stories to interject into the tour, making it a very interesting and 'real' experience.

Overly hyped by others unfortunately this tour didn't deliver for us. We found ourselves bored and wishing we would have spent the time in line to get a view from the top of Nôtre Dame instead. A few interesting tidbits of info.

I went on the Montmarte tour with Manuel and I loved it. The tour itself was informative, giving you background on the streets and buildings. The group was pretty big but Manuel definitely knew what he was doing. His sense of humor also gave the tour a more personalized feel which made the tour itself more enjoyable.

We were a group of eight, so booked a private tour. There is a set fee for such a tour. It was a wise decision. Our guide, Marion, was excellent. She provided great insight into the architectural details of Notre Dame. Her knowledge helped put historical facts into context. After exploring Notre Dame, we made our way through the Latin... I get to the tour and the guide is terrible. I didnt even go through with it because her energy was pure stress. She gets pissed when someone asks if shes part of the free tour and insists that its not free and she is expecting tips. I dont know whats going on in her personal life but her energy... More

This was a great walking tour. Informative, fun! The guide, Manuel, was terrific. Since it it free there were a lot of people on the tour, but Manuel handled the large group well.

Our guide was extremely engaging, entertaining and he had a thorough knowledge of the area - we think his name is Mamon(?) The tour was scheduled for only 1.5 hours but our guide spent an extra hour doing the tour as we were all enjoying it so much. I have taken many walking tours in other cities and I would... More
