I took the market tour and cooking class. It was absolutely amazing, and an experience that I will never forget. The day started off by making the rounds at a local market shopping for our class and learning all about what is fresh and in season. Just the visual experience of the market is enough to take your breath away,... More

We had an excellent time at the Puff Pastry class. My mom and I took this class while on a visit to Paris for my birthday and it was perfect! Everyone from the receptionist to the instructor was super friendly and helpful. Our instructor, Eric, was very knowledgable about the techniques and tips. We've taken other cooking/baking classes in various... More

I was lucky enough to be given this experience as a birthday gift and it was fantastic! Our chef/host Emily was very friendly and knowledgable, she made the whole process feel very easy :) We made a wide variety of (delicious) pastries which we got to enjoy at the end of the class with tea and coffee, any left overs... My daughter and I did the macaron class and absolutely loved it (and we loved the delicious macarons we made). The instructor was perfect: patient with every student, always informative and very helpful....and he kept the class moving along. Our only regret was not taking more classes. But when we return to Paris again (neither of us can stay away!)... More

We had booked two foodie experiences through Gourmet on Tour, and both were with this wonderful organization, La Cuisine Paris. We first participated in the Kitchen Tour of Versailles, and then the next day, did the French Market Cooking Class. The Kitchen Tour of Versailles was a great way to understand the history of Versaille. It gave us a different... More

I signed up for this with my friend because we both wanted to do some sort of cooking class while in Paris. We had a BLAST! Frances was our instructor and she was so fun, funny, and knowledgeable. We had a great time, I only wish I hadn't eat before the class so I could have enjoyed more fresh pastries... More

April 18, 2015 we met at a market to begin our wonderful cooking experience. After intros Lise inquired if there was any food anyone had an allergy to and any food we truly didn't like....well I said "turnips", she responded by asking if she could change my mind.......turnips were the first item we purchased and yes she did. The way... More

We had a wonderful first morning in Paris on the market tour and cooking class. Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
