I have a baking business and have been attempting macarons for years with mixed results. I researched baking/cooking schools on line and decided on La Cuisine. I couldn't of been more pleased. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the class was excellent. We worked in pairs but we shared every task and our chef was very attentive and answered... More

I was more excited about attending this class than anything else I had planned during my trip to Paris. Left very disappointed and would not recommend. Wish I had found a different place that spent more time on technique. Also, it is required you work in teams. The whole point of taking this class was for me to learn and... More

my husband surprised me with the macaroon making class for my birthday. we had such a fantastic time! the class was a bit rushed (a lot of information to take in when time is of the essence) but the instructor was great at describing everything in detail. She was very patient, honest, and helpful. We came home with a lot... More

I highly recommend La Cuisine for English speakers wanting to take cooking classes in Paris. I had some experience baking bread but learned so much at the Baguette Class. Chef Eric was an excellent instructor, explaining techniques, tools, some science and possible variations on the recipes. He also used the type of equipment that you'd have at home and not professional gear. There's much to learn in 3 hours and much to eat when you're... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
