We decided to try this new food tour while in Paris in August. A difficult time for a food tour because many places close in August. The tour was excellent. Karen did a great job of making the tour interesting, educational, fun and of course delicious. The Tour consists of walking around to many different food shops, like the bakery,... More

I LOVED my tour with Karen! I would highly recommend the tour of the Marais. I learned so much about Paris and the history of the city. Plus, it was a gorgeous walk through one of my favorite parts of the city. Karen is so knowledgeable about the city; I couldn't believe how much she knew! Lunch at l'As du... More

I took a tour with Karen and Sight Seeker's Delight in 2008. And I'm writing this review now. That should show you how much it stuck with me!! I was staying at the hostel Karen was working at before she focused fully on Sight Seeker's Delight, and she made a huge impression on me! Her tour was fun and informative... More

We took the food tour. It was very nice learned all about French foods and history of cuisine in Paris. Karen was fun and full of energy which made the tour exciting not only to our minds but to our palates as well. Truly enjoyable

I just wanted to say thank you to our tour guide, she was very informative about the culture and history of the Jewish community. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and would advise everyone to go on this tour. Our tour guide had us on our toes we laughed, we cried and we saw some amazing parts of the Jewish community in... More

Found info on SIght Seeker's Delight "Tickle Your Tastebuds" tour in a guide book and it sounded so wonderful that I booked it. We had the location where to meet and as we were getting out of the cab someone called my name. It was Karen, our guide, who was waiting for us!! We sat down to chat and within... More

I took the Pere LaChaise Tour with Karen today. For 2 hours she walked us thru almost the entire beautiful cemetery, up and down stairs, telling us stories about some of our favorite writers, singers and even famous French people that we didn't know. Not being a tour person, I will definitely take a few more tours with her company... More

We took the tour of Le Marais with Karen. Small group. Karen is a wonderful guide, very knowledgable, funny, interesting, and was able to keep us all together. The tour was about 3 hours with a stop to eat, and we could've gone for longer-it was that good1

I took the gastronomical tour with a friend. It was a better than a pleasant surprise! Karen provided an excellent tour with witty commentary. The right balance of historical facts and pithy banter. The interactive experience made it feel like more of a lunch party instead of a walking tour. I highly recommend!!!

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
