I joined the classic city walk on my first full day in Paris -- great way to orient myself in the city and get an overview of the area and history. The weather was exceptionally hot and our guide, Melissa, did a great job of making minor adjustments to our walk to keep us shaded. I didn't make it to... More

We recently took this French Revolution walking tour in June 2015 , on a mid-week afternoon . We met at the Danton statue near the Odeon Metro stop which was convenient as we were staying in the Saint Germain Des Pres area and the tour finished around 2.5hrs later near Notre Dame Cathedral . Our tour guide was actually British... More

Our guide for the French Revolution Walk was Antoine and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. He was very knowledgeable about the history of France and had a lot of enthusiasm and energy. He smiled a lot and answered all our questions. It was supposed to be a 2 hour walking tour but he spent additional time with us... More

We loved the French Revolution tour with Antoine. He brought a remarkably human touch to history and gave us a new perspective to the French monastery. We would recommend this tour highly.

We signed up for a walking tour with the oddly named "Fat Tire" tour company to learn about the French Revolution in Paris. We were not disappointed! Antoine was our exceptionally knowledgeable guide and told us the story of the Revolution--with all of its reasons and historical significances, and sparing none of the grisly details. He showed us where things... More

Our family went on the Revolution Tour with a group of about 10 other people. Gil was FANTASTIC. He really brought everything to life. Gil really 'knows his stuff' and has a great personality. A terrific way to spend 3 hours in Paris. Thank you Gil!!

We took a three hour French Revolution walking tour with our guide Paul, and just one other couple. We started at Les Invalides, which is where the revolution started, and spent quite a long time there as Paul laid out the foundations of the revolution. It's great to hear information like this from someone who is obviously so knowledgeable and... More

We enjoyed seeing all the sites at our leisure and not on a bus with a million people. We stopped in local stores and talked to shopkeepers. We ate ice cream at Hagen Das as we walked. We liked the ability to make our own tour.

This tour is excellent - 2 hours of exploring the city and its turbulent past. Interesting to see the places that made the French Revolution what it was. Our guide was excellent and informative. She allowed and encouraged questions. The tour goes through various important historical places associated with the French Revolution and was extremely interesting. Wear comfortable shoes -... More
