After a wonderful few hours in the marketplace where local produce was shown and sold, I saw "the little train" waiting in the square.. It was only around ten Euros and filled up quickly. The passengers were a melange of French, English, Japanese and Italians. You traveled the length of the city and into the country where we saw the... More

This was our first visit to Ajaccio. We arrived on cruise ship and soon came across The Little Train in the market square. The ride cost only 10 Euro per person and the tour was about 1 hour long. Most if not all passengers on board were English and so the driver only played the English narration through the carriages.... More

Ajaccio is one of those places that's probably better seen on foot. There are tons of narrow streets to explore, and you won't find a lot of the hidden gems riding on Le Petit Train. That said, it's not a bad way to see the biggest tourist attractions, and it's really convenient when it's hot outside. I don't recall if... More

Paid for the extended tour this week as a way of seeing the sights in Ajaccio. We left nearly 15 minutes late as they tried to fill the train. The journey itself is fine and you travel quite a distance through the streets and out of town. The Sanguinaires Islands are a real highlight. However there was NO English translation... More

We took the one and a half hour train journey to see more of the countryside as we were only here for the day. It cost 10 euros and was excellent value with two stops en route. The views out to sea were beautiful. Be aware the ride can be quite bumpy but a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Would give not having to drive in Ajaccio four stars, but give the actual tour just two. We don't speak French so the driver occasionally put on the English recording. There were headset connection points but no headsets. Maybe they were not working. On one hand, we were clearly missing a lot by not hearing more; on the other, perhaps... More

If this is the train between Ajaccio and Corte it was just great, on a very hot day after driving down through France from Bordeaux the air conditioning was lovely and the sights of the deep gorges and the little stations impressive. All along the route the little stations were request stops where lots of hikers got onto or off the... This little road train is positioned opposite the Port Of Ajaccio. We arrived at 11am and took the 1hr 30min tour for 10Euros each (there is a 45min trip for 7 euro which ran at 1pm). It took us via 15 points of interest with two stops to get out, first was at the Napoleon Statue and second was Sanguine... More

We visited the island for a day on a cruise so we only had limited time to explore this gorgeous place. We discovered Le Petit Train as we got off the ship and found it a very easy and enjoyable way to see the town, including the monument and gorgeous views of the sea/beach. There was a commentary onboard, which... More
