I concur with all the details below. As is often the case the person you are with makes the experience. If you are looking for a sincere person telling a story she is extremely passionate about, then this tour with Rachel is the one for you. Nothing fancy, but you will soon learn that the making of Champagne is not... More

Thanks, Rachel, for a great day. We learned a lot, had a ton of laughs, and really enjoyed the hospitality of your family. I would repeat this experience again in a second. We approached this as a quasi-educational day. Kind of like a seminar, but with 4-5 bottles of champagne to make it fun. Do this if you can find... More

This tour is an absolute must if you are visiting Reims. We visited Rachel and her family (Alexis, Florence and Thierry) and spent a wonderful day learning all about the champagne process from the ground up, that I now feel like an expert. Every aspect of the tour was fantastic from the time Rachel collected us from our hotel to... More

We simply had a great time out in Sacy with Rachel for the day. Perfect for anyone who wants to get out into the countryside and learn about the champagne region / process from the perspective of a smaller producer. Rachel is just about the perfect host, and Sacy is a beautiful village with a great restaurant. The Wafflart-Briet champagne... More

We had done our homework on ‘method champenoise’ but nothing prepared us for the complete experience RAW delivers. From the start Rachel was able to take us through the whole process describing each step in detail. We visited the vines, chatted with one of the workers, watched the ‘degorgement’ process and discussed the economics of both large and small growers.... More

We went to Reims in early June 2015, and we enjoyed every minute of the tour. We learned a ton about the process of making champagne (there's an official champagne committee? Who knew?!), ate a great meal at the local restaurant, had plenty of tasty champagne, and basically felt like we were part of the family. It was a wonderful... More

If there is one thing you MUST do when visiting Reims, it is to book a champagne 'visit' with RAW. We were unsure as to what to expect, but we spent a fabulous day with Rachel discovering how champagne is produced and how a co-operative of small champagne houses work. During our time with Rachel we were able to taste... More

An absolute MUST! We've been on many wine tours from California to Europe and this tour is fabulous. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable, and being a former educator, has a great way of explaining the process of making champagne to the layman. The tour of the co-op, the vineyards and her lovely family home were spot on. The lunch and tasting... More

I did wonder whether it was going to be a good tour if our host was going to be English as should we be meeting with a typical Frenchman but it was fantastic. We understood every word for a start and Rachels knowledge and passion for the vineyard and the champagne process being married to a Frenchman and into a... More

This is a fantastic personal tour and in depth look into everything that goes into Champagne. We tagged our stay in Reims onto a trip to Disneyland Paris (Reims is an hour’s drive back towards Calais from Disneyland) so we wanted to do something that suited the adults as well as the Children, we were so glad Rachel was happy...
