You get to see the entire production line of champagne. It was a really nice tour. The staff was nice and tasting was great!
This is one Champagne house you DO NOT WANT TO MISS!!! Give some of the others a skip ( G.H. Mumm, Pommery) and spent time here! Educational, warm, inviting and excellent non-MLF champagne! This was a 10/10 for me. OK, maybe an 11/10!
This is a great & educational tour, just beware that until September nothing will be happening on the production floor. The best idea is to check at time of booking if the winery is operational. Also there is a great little cafe down the road, Les Cepages @ 99 Rue de Courlancy, they sell Lanson champagne by the glass, &... More
Arrived by train into Reims at 9.30 from Epernay. Went straight to the Tourist Information Centre which is on the right just outside the train station. The lady was really helpful and managed to get us on the 10am English tour at Lanson (10,00 euro each). How lucky we were! There were just the four of us on the tour... More
If you want to know how champagne is made and what makes it special then this is the perfect tour. You are taken through every step inside the cellars so you can see and understand the process. Lanson are a big house but do some things differently to other houses and this is well explained. The mansion is very beautiful... More
I visited five wineries during my visit of the Champagne region and Lanson was definitely the one where I have learned the most about how the champagne is made. Our guide was very nice and she told us much about the whole process. You also have a unique opportunity to see the production line and see the "real thing" and... More
I've been on seven champagne house tours over two visits to Reims and this one was by far the best and most original. First up, Sylvie (the guide) was very informative and able to answer any questions. The way in which they do their tour is very different. The other champagne houses tell you how you get from the grape... More
We visited Lanson with my 3 young children and I found they were very accommodating and friendly. The english tour started at 10:00am and went on for an hour, followed by us tasting 4 different wines. I have visited multiple champagne houses in Reims, and this won did the best tour. I enjoyed the fact that they did not rely... More
Very interesting visit to see the industrial side of Champagne making but lots of walking and stairs. I did not feel very safe when we had to walk down some kind of ladder! All together a good stop to combine afterwards with some tastings near Epernay with smaller producers
