centrally located with easy access. it was great visitimg off season. Very few people and lots of time to sit and contemplate life in the days of Francois 1. His salamander crest is found in all the Chateau's around Blois.

Beautiful royal palace, rooms are very well preserved and the history is very interesting. The architecture is very impressive, and the palace dominates the lovely town of Blois, which itself is well worth a tour around. All in all, a must do if you are in this part of the Loire.

Free on a sunday morning!! The Palace has many different ailes and a Fine Arts Museum. Even if you pay 10€ it is worth a 2h visit.

This Royal palace is unique because it was built at different eras, and this is evident in its' architecture. Well worth seeing. The courtyard is one of the best areas; as the good audio guide will tell you about the different builders and reasons for some of the slightly odd features. It is very impressive.

Wonderful castle right in the centre of Blois town. Lots of history inside, beautiful architecture. Try to visit during the summer and enjoy the night show with scenes and histories of the kings that lived in the castle. I would definitely recommend a visit for anyone traveling around the Loire Valley.

We took the opportunity to explore the exterior of the chateau, and to walk into the entry area simply to see the courtyard. It is very nice.
