The chateau is well worth a visit. However, the service in the coffee shop is appalling. We were waiting at least 15 minutes to be served. Instead of attending to out order, the waitor decided to have a cigarette!!! Needless to say we left.

We take half day to visit this French historic castle. It is full of stories. The four style buildings help us understand more about French history. It is a pity that one of them is closed.

The chateau, which is really one of François 1er palaces is very interesting for those interested in french history. It has neither he stunning architectural and scenic beauty of Chenonceau or the gardens of Villandry but the art collection is first class and the historical presentation in english and français is first class. The furnishings are also of interest. Because... More

We went there for the Sound and Light show at night. Basically it is through a narrator and the projection of images on the exterior walls in the courtyard telling the stories of the French kings with an original music score. It is a 45 minute show starting at 10:30 at night. For this year, there is a show every... More

Son et lumiere was outstanding - worth every penny. The layout of the chateau guided you through a logical tour. We also watched an excellent sword fighting reenactment.

We bought a combined ticket to the chateau in the day and for the light show. The chateau in the day is great - all the information is in French and English, so this is helpful. The displays are great to learn about French history. In the evening the light show, where images are projected around the 4 walls of... More

Many interesting architectural features and designs. Take the audio tour to learn about historical and architectural things you would otherwise miss.
