I was 1 of 4 people (2 couples) who recently spent 2 wks in France. 3 nights in Normandy, 2 in Loire, 3 in Dijon/Burgundy and 5 nights in Paris. Every day/night was interesting and memorable, but I think the most fun thing we did was spend a day with Alex. The day is well described in other reviews, so... More

We spent a day in Dijon with Alex. First stop the market to purchase the essentials for the meal we were going to prepare. What a way to begin our day. Alex knows all the vendors. He chatted with them and we were treated to samples. Explain actions were given by stand of why he patronizes them. Next we bought... More

If you want to understand the cuisine of Burgundy and the options in Dijon, this is the way to do it. Alex Miles is a very experienced and now semi-retired chef who has done it all and cooked for many famous places and occasions. The session starts with a trip to the famous Dijon Market where he schools the class... More

We decided to take a cooking class to get a sense of the cuisine in Burgundy . We were staying in Beaune and wanted to visit Dijon so we signed up for Alex Miles' course. As with the other reviewers here, he met us at the Dijon train station (it was just my husband and me), took us for a... More

Alex, We very much enjoyed spending the day with you going to the market, assisting in making an unbelievably tasty meal, and engaging in great conversation. What we took away and brought with us back to Montana is a confirmation of a lifestyle change, with regards to cooking and eating, that we have been leaning and inching towards for some... More

Our family of four, wanted to get a good feeling of a traditional French cooking experience. Alex met us at the train station in Dijon, after having driven for 2 hours from Lyon. We then proceeded to walk to the center of town where we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and some pastries. Alex is not just a chef... More

Very good visit to the market which is beautiful. The stands with all the fruits and vegetable are great and all the butchers and charcuteries are tasty!

The opportunity to spend the day with bon vivant, Alex Miles, is worth the trip to Dijon. I confess to falling in love with the food and wine of Burgundy and the City of Dijon a number of years ago, so a day learning more about is gastronomique delights, shopping at the market and preparing a meal in the kitchen...
