This is self-guided tasting tour in an old church with candle light. You may walk, unescorted, through an underground cave, and taste the wines that are offered in their bottles upon wine barrels.
There were some decent wines especially in the end. Overall, it was a nice experience, well worth the admission price.
The cost is 10 Euros to get...

Hello, I don't mean to brag but am merely trying to make a point by mentioning all the places I have done serious wine tasting to support why I believe this could be the worst wine tasting experience in the world. I've tasted in other parts of France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, south Africa, new Zealand, chile, Argentina, Serbia, Montenegro,...

On a week day, we found this place to be wonderfully private! Upon payment of 10 Euros, you are given a tasting cup and shown the stairs to descend into the caves. It is dimly lit--romantic! As you pass through the caves, you can see bottles of wine being stored, some quite old, others interesting because they were produced by...

Similar to patriarchs this is a walk around the company's cellars and pour your own tastings, if the sommeliers see you're interested in wine they can offer you separate free tastings of their better and more interesting wines. No obligation to buy wine, athough we did end up getting 6 bottles !

This is a must if you are looking for an interesting and captivating experience of the French wines in the Beaune area.

Just across from Hospices de Beaune. Self guided wine tasting was in old cellars located below and inside an old Church. Tasting of 15 wines for 10Euro.
They advertise a Wine Sommelier is available to discuss wines ... very little interest shown by this person unless you wanted to purchase.
Disappointment was that there was very little information (such as...

Great value for a wine tour and all in an actual medieval cellar. Yes it's a bit musty but you really get the feel of being where hundred year old bottles are still stored. You get to taste many wines from the region and you get to keep a little sommelier's cup as a souvenir....It was fun and well worth...

The Marche aux Vins is a unique attraction in that the wine tasting is presented in an actual cellar. Participants may walk, unescorted, through an underground maze, and taste the wines that are offered in their bottles upon wine barrels. The wines are available for sale, but there is no pressure to do so. The atmosphere is that of "old...

Little to add to other reviewers remarks- except to say afternoon on a weekday, the Marche aux Vins was uncrowded. We could have stayed as long as we liked. Emphasis falls on the setting, rather than the wines. Still, roaming the cellar by candlelight and emerging into the 15th century church was fun. We didn't buy any wine, however.
