We were in Beaune for 24 hours and just turned up. Unfortunately it was too late (5:30 pm) to do a proper wine tasting, but we were still treated to an express version, tasting 4 excellent local wines. Nicole was extremely welcoming and informative and made us want to come back again. Definitely a must if you have more time... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. After making a reservation, the two of us sat with the owner for over three hours tasting and learning about 5 white and 7 red burgundy wines. He had so much knowledge to offer! This was the highlight of our trip to Beaune! No pressure to buy, although the tour is free and you... More

Pierre spent about 4 hours taking the two of us through an extensive tasting of whites and reds which was enormously helpful in learning more about the classification of French wines, and appreciating the differences in chardonnay and pinot noir in different locations, soils, microclimates and vintages. He did this through blind tastings which demanded us to identify the changing... More

I love my wine and learning from new regions. Pierre was fantastic with humour and great wine knowledge. I learnt a great deal. The tasting went for over 4 hours and it was a small group of 4. Great fun learning about wine but more importantly, Burgundy wines. Everyone should do this tasting.

This was the highlight of 4 wonderful days in Burgundy. A tasting that was scheduled to last 2 hours stretched to four and half hours of enormous pleasure. We tasted a total of 17 wines which in itself was a great experience. However, what really made this experience really stand out was the genuine passion for her subject shown by... More

Visited the Cave 2 years ago and had an excellent experience. The Cave has been closed for health reasons, but has re-opened. We didn't have time for a tasting, but the format appears to be the same. Allow 2 1/2 hours.

We spent a couple of hours doing a blind wine tasting with Pierre just a few days ago and it was a highlight of the week spent in the Beaune area. Pierre is knowledgeable and witty, while being hero us with his pouring. We sampled over 18 wines and a bit of cremant to boot.

Thank you so much to say I am witty. It is a nice compliment, and I have informed my wife, just in case she did not notice this part of my personality ! It was a pleasure to share this good time with you, and I hope to see you again as soon as possible. More

What a great experience. We are a French/Anglo couple living in the Champagne region of France and making champagne for a living. We know about champagne but not so much about Burgundy wines... visiting La Cave de L'ange Gardien changed that for us. If you go to Beaune you must do this tasting. It's free, but it shouldn't be. So... More

You are so wonderful. Thank you for your compliments. If you love now burgundy wines, we are happy and we are sure you will come back. It is very nice to encourage persons to buy, but you know we are pleased when you bring back home a wine you really like. At that moment you think of us because you... More

We went to La Cave de l'Ange Gardien on the recommandation of our B&B hostess when we asked her where to buy and taste great Bourgogne wines. After a day's walk in Beaune, we went with my wife to the Cave with the intention to buy some wines... As we came in we were invited to join another couple who... More

Thank you so much for the compliments. We shared together beautiful moments, and I am really proud you enjoyed so much. You will notice how the wine you bought will be even better at your home because it will be linked to good memories. I wish you all the best for the end of the year. More
