This large winery is a wonderful place to tour the old cellars (especially the Private Collection) and visiting the Winery itself, as well as Maison Henriot. We were fortunate to have arranged a private tour and were not disappointed. Some 1.2 million bottles of wine in the cellar. The best part of course was the tasting in the old tasting... More

We walked in and booked a tour last minute at Bouchard. The tour took you underground into the cellar and through the castle. We learned facts about Burgundy and the wine region and at the end we were able to taste the pinots of the winery. Very friendly guide and good wine. I would recommend visiting while in Beaune.

Ok, maybe if you know nothing about Burgundy wines this may be interesting. The tour was really limited to a brief historical review, and then looking at old bottles of wine. At the tasting, most of the wines were pedestrian, and only a couple 1er cru. All in all, not a good value for 20 euro @. Disappointing.

A bit overwhelmed by choice we were advised to go to Bouchard Pere et fils. We were taken as a group of two through the cellars of the 1500's chateau and learned SO much from our intelligent friendly guide Elian. For a young man he has acquired a depth of knowledge and the ability to impart it fully in good... More

Fascinating tour of the facility and the amazing wine cellars. We had a private tour and end with a wine tasting.

I have found the stereotype of rude, aloof French people to be very untrue. I have found warm, helpful, accepting and interesting people everywhere...except here. We arrived a couple minutes late for a tour and they refused to allow us to join, saying the tour was in the tasting room. When we got there, the man told us he didn't... More

The tour of the Chateau and the cellars was interesting, but the tasting was the main attraction at this visit. The Bouchard wines are a little pricey but worth an occasional splurge. A knowledgeable guide presented us with 6 tastings of various quality levels, including a grand cru. No pressure sales at the end. The tour costs 16 euro so... More

I went to Bouchard because it is one of the oldest wine maker in Burgundy. 19€ for the cellar visit and 6 wines tasting. It was disappointing both on the amount of info you get when visiting and the quality of the wines you taste. For a few more € you get more for your money in Meursault. I will... More

The place is certainly worth seeing but I prefer the sightseeing in Le Patriarche or le Chateau de Mersault cellars. They are certainly more impressive though if you are a wine freak you should not miss Bouchard et Fils nor Bouchard Aine et Fils - both are interesting enough but if you do not have much time in Beaune, I...
