Fort National is one of several Castles in the Port City of Saint-Malo. It can only be reached by foot during low tide. There are two other satellite castles out in the bay as well as château of Saint-Malo which is part of the Walled City (La Ville Intra-Muros). This city is steeped in history-Way to much to tell about... More

This place is charming. Walk along the walls around the fort to get a real sense of the city. Just not much else to do in this town. More

At low tide you take a brisk stroll over the short stretch of golden sand up the path and in. Not much more than the classic shape and... More

If you are any where in the Normandy region, St-Malo is a must see. The 16th century fort is right on the waters edge, originally set up by French Privateers it needed to be a solid construction. The best idea would be to stay in a hotel overnight within the walls and walk atop the ramparts around the town at... More
