The museum exposition is simple and unassuming but this sightseeing is of another kind. Suddenly we spent about 2 hours and were impressed. It was great and funny to explore 2 huge donjons: to climb up and down spiral stairs, to get to the roof and have a wonderful view of Dinan, to get to the dungeon and find stone... More

Great views over the town and surrounding countryside. You have to climb a lot of steps through. It is a good reflection on life centuries ago with massive rooms and fireplaces.

We have toured many castle ruins, and this was one of the better ones. The structure is virtually all intact. We were able to climb all the way onto the roof and the views of the town were great. They have many artifacts inside and it works well as a museum. I especially enjoyed going down to the cripts. Dinan... More

Very interesting place to visit if you don't have any form of disability, too many stairs with one side with no handrail or stair to walk safely.

Nice place to see and visits. It's nice to walk around especially if it had good weather. A bit expensive to eat and drink but worth the visit

Quite interesting for this type of site in France, the French don't seem to be able to make their great sites come to life. Having said that, this is a great site and deserves a visit. Just be ready for a lot of stone spiral stairs.

Great value for money (cheap entry fee) you are pretty much free to roam this old castle and go up onto the roof for some amazing views. Staff are friendly and there are information cards in fairly good English. Well worth a visit if you are in this area.

This old chateau and tower are well worth a visit for something interesting to do and some history of the area. There are stunning views of the town and surrounds to be seen from the inside walls.

The sights were interesting and the pace about right. If your French is weak be sure to stand near the guide.
