When we visited these caves, it made me totally rethink my view of the Neanderthals. These people were absorbed rich in this artform. Whatever purpose it might have, it is a pleasure to see it. For the second time we visited these caves, not the most famous, but of great value, because this caves will show you pictures of humans. There are only three caves in this valley with pictures of humans. This cave consist two parts, the first, with stalagmites like macaroni, the second part, with beautiful prehistoric pictures, but forbidden to take pictures. More

We visited two of the caves in this area and found the experience quite moving. They have limited the number of tours and people per day so during the summer months it would be important to book ahead. The paintings in the caves are amazingly detailed and artistic; it boggles the mind to realize they were made by prehistoric man! More
