There are Bourses and there are Bourses! This one is among the finest I've seen, impressive in itself, as it stands powerfully, symmetrically opposite the Garonne River, and fairly recently made even more impressive by the reflecting pool in front of it. This pool can easily be waded through (as was on the day I visited, and seems to disappear... More

On our walking tour, we visited this Place de la Bourse, surrounded by 18th century buildings which were built after the city walls were removed, leaving just the city gates. An interesting fountain is in the centre of the courtyard and there were some interesting photos of old Bordeaux in the windows of one of the buildings facing the square.... More

We had a wonderful sunny day to walk around for hours! Many little places to stop for refreshing drink, or even pull up your pants, kick off shoes and walk in the miroir d'Eau de Bordeaux. So much history.

We visited on a rainy day in May, but we still caught a glimpse of the nice illusion of the water-mirror

I went to the Place de la Bourse on a drizzly Sunday afternoon. There were only a few people there, mostly around the reflecting pool, which is more of a high tech fountain, and is very nice. The plaza is big and open, and static. There is a cafe at the center as you enter from the town, but it... More

A wonderful gateway to Bordeaux with so many good ways to view. Take a stroll across the river and take some shots, and soak up the view from over there or just stand behind le miroir d'eau. You can't lose. Better yet take a walking tour of the city, and pick up a little history on the way. The Mayor... More

As buildings go, this is an impressive structure - regal and powerful at the same time as being almost organic in its feel and flow. Fascinating building to contemplate. Rather unique.

The lights from the old buildings and surroundings that reflect from the mirror floor (as they call it) look wonderful. You have to wait and experience the mist fountain, it's magical. There were banderas band playing on the side and people were watching and dancing with the music. Can be lovely to visit for couples and families. A walk by... More

There's a lot of walking to be done in Bordeaux, so it's a great place for people watching and relaxing in the warm French sunshine....
