This is such a beautiful attraction. People sit and eat around here while children ( and some adults) run through the water which rises about two inches. On occasion it turns to steam which is also beautiful.

A perfect example of neoclassical architecture. It opens out onto the quayside. It was once home to the city's stock exchange.

The space is just a glorious public square with symmetrical buildings flanking a central pavilion. In the center, a great fountain replaced the original statue of the king, Louis XIV, after the revolution. My husband's credentials as a professor of architecture got us inside to the third floor, now a court for customs issues, where we saw the beautiful suite... More

We came here first upon arriving in Bordeaux. It is beautiful (a UNESCO heritage site) and alongside the lovely River Garonne. A great place to walk along the river and see the beautiful buildings that were part of the flourishing port of Bordeaux.

The Place de la Bourse is the square you definitely have to visit when coming in Bordeaux ! The tram stops just in front, there are a lot of nice restaurants and bars all around, so you can definitely spend a nice evening there !

Bordeaux has become a very attractive city to visit. The proof of this is that many cruise ships make the 100 km journey up the estuary to it. These ships dock very near the water mirroir which is an amazing attraction for all ages. I highly recommend a visit to Bordeaux which has become the highest rated touristiques city in... More

Make sure to cross over to the esplanade walking area across from the Place de la Bourse at night. There is a "mirror pool" there, and the reflection of the magnificent buildings at night into the pool is spectacular. You will be joined by many native Bordelais as you stroll along the river.

So this reflection pool, located near the Quai is a wonderfully relaxing spot. Early in the morning, one can catch the reflection of the surrounding buildings and it is truly beautiful. Later as the crowds arrive, and the mist begins, it is a real kick to see the kids running in the mist with all the parents and grandparents having... More
