Not to be confused with its more famous namesake in Paris, this 11th century church is beautiful in its own right, with its elaborately carved facades and detailing.

I visited the church almost by accident as it is not as marked as the catedral St. Andre and St. Michel. However, the church itself is stunning and very beautiful and if you have the luck to see a wedding taking place in here it really is a very quaint and typically French church worth visiting.

As another reviewer said, it's a nice looking church but it isn't that impressive and doesn't really stick out. Worth a visit if you're into churches though.

The church was lovely with beautiful stain glass windows and beautiful altars. The children has special altar and penance pews. The organ is spectacular with angels playing early instruments.

Impressive church, but not really. It's just another church, in the same style as the others. However, it was the only one opened on 1st of May, when pretty much everything else was closed

We could not get into the church due to renovations but it is a beautiful building . What was surprising was thewondeful antique stores nearby. Just across the street and to the right of the main entrance is a large antique store on 2 floors. I wish I could have bought things and placed them in my luggage.

This is a beautiful cathedral, with stunning stained glass windows. It is a nice place to spend some time away from the busy streets

Yes it may be hidden and we came across it by accident - thank goodness. The facade of the church, is in baroque style Jesuit represents the Virgin giving the rosary to St. Dominic; This rosary gave its name to the square adjacent to the building. Take the time to locate and view.

Get lost and you'll find it. Full of magic, it drags you in and you just fall in love with it. The light inside is simply wonderful. A must visit in Bordeaux.

Love the walk way, the architectural and the grandness of the church! It makes the story comes alive (hunchback of Notre Dame). I went during winter, so the queue is not so long, do take some time to take photos around the church, its simply beautiful!

Previous reviewers are mistakingly thinking that Notre Dame is the Cathedral Church of Bordeaux, and of using, wrongly, photographs of Cathedral Saint André in their reviews. This baroque church is hidden away behind the Grand Hotel of Bordeaux in Place du Chapelet. The nave is huge and the overall impression is one space and light, not evident from the exterior... More
