Not to be confused with its more famous namesake in Paris, this 11th century church is beautiful in its own right, with its elaborately carved facades and detailing.

The ceilings are magnificent, as well as the alter. I used a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera with the 16-50mm lens to capture the scene, hand held, no flash. What a joy to be in such a place and not feel intrusive.

This church is tucked away, but don't give up. Beautiful alter area. It feels like a local parish, which is different for most churches in Europe.

What tickled my imagination was that Eleanor of Aquataine was married here. Actually only a small part of the church survives from Eleanor's time, but this tidbit made the church come alive in history. You can also catch the tram here to go down to the riverside.

Hidden away in the streets of Bordeaux stands this beautiful building. It's free to go in and walk around and we were given some information in English to read about the history and structure of the building.

Beautiful work, you've got to come in! Outside the place is newly renovated from couple of years ago! Great location and very fine arts! Don't miss that place:)

This Roman Catholic church built in 1684 is tucked away down one of the narrow streets in Bordeaux, you really do need to look for it. Inside there is a good amount of natural lighting to view the architecture, stone carvings, stain glass and paintings.

The church is a little hidden, you have to find it. It is worth to visit. Beautiful stained glass windows, and the whole architecture is very nice.

Great photo op. The church has beautiful stained glass windows. The altar is lovely. The building itself is very pretty. This is worth a stop.

I visited the church almost by accident as it is not as marked as the catedral St. Andre and St. Michel. However, the church itself is stunning and very beautiful and if you have the luck to see a wedding taking place in here it really is a very quaint and typically French church worth visiting.
