This museum is in the same buildings with others which is convenient and it's right next to the Notre Dame. The range of work spans quite a few years and there is even a Raphael. It's worth the visit as it doesn't take that long and there is probably at least one work of art to satisfy anyone's taste. And... More

It is a museum with a good collection instaled in the palais Rohan. In the Palais Rohan has 3 museums and each has separate admission. You can buy a combined entry for the 3 museums. How are 3 museums in the same building, each museum is not very big. I would have preferred to see a single museee in this... More

This museum is on the top floor of the Palais de Rohan, in which there is also the Musée des Arts Decoratifs (ground floor) and the Musée Archéologique (basement). You can get a day pass for €12 which gets you into these three museums and nine others, including the Musée d'Art Modern et Contemporain. The beaux arts commence with religious... More

Enjoyed the visit. For art lovers, worth going to. A Little disappointed that an upper gallery seemed to be closed off when were there.

The fine arts museum is in a majestic building and I was impressed by the size of some of these paintings. I did not think there were that many, but what they had were very beautiful. It was very practical to have many museums in the same building of Palais de Rohan.

Part of the five museum complex, three of which are in the Palace Rohan next to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. They have 3-4 really nice pieces on display and the rest is interesting but won't take long to browse through. Paintings by Raphael, Goya, Greco are on display, but the one by Paolo Veronese was worth a long pause.... More

I thought this museum was pleasant and I found quite a few works that I really enjoyed. I am not overly knowledgeable about art or artists, but I don't think there are any major works by major artists here. There is no audio guide (that I know of) and the information cards and placards in each room are in French... More

There were lots of pieces of art to be seen here. A fair variety is exhibited. The admission price is reasonable, and some of the wall placards have English information, which is a plus, but not a necessity. It was a good way to spend some of our time. Also great if the weather is not ideal.

I'm not an art expert sincerely but I think the art piece exposed are quite important..., but what I really really appreciated of this museum as difference from othes also more important, is that finally I found a museum with a well done explanation under each piece. Under each piece there is the story and meaning of the subject in... More
