Some really surprising paintings among the collection.
I found the entire collection well grouped and displayed.
The staff within the museum were friendly and very polite - one man even offered to alter the angle of a window shutter to improve my view of a particular painting. That's what I call service!

We enjoyed a couple of hours here. No really major works, but a good, representative variety. Ideal situation near the Cathedral and Musee Notre Dame, but they would be a little too much to take in at the same time.

Placed into Rohan Palace (first floor), nearby the Notre-Dame Cathedral, from outside you do think it is an administrative building. The ticket office is somewhow hidden and the museum the same. But after opening a simple door, you find yourself in a wonderful and quiet world. The paintings are grouped mainly on type of composition (countryside, waters, castles a.s.o.) and...
