This synagogue is situated in, or close to a place called Parc du Contades and can be reached by Tram B or E, or can take a walk from the Republic Plaza. The building is large and somber looking, but I did not go inside. It was not open. The park was quite peaceful and there were several people sitting,... More

It's not an ornamental synagogue, it's rather austere and solemn in looks, which I think is appropriate for a place of worship that's dedicated to the millions of Jews who perished under the Nazis. Right next to the synagogue is a park where you can see many Jewish families with their children all dressed up for the services on Friday... More
