I really like museums of contemporary art in Europe; they are situated in interesting buildings, usually have nice terrace(s) with a view, cool shops and nice atmosphere. In Strasbourg all of this was present. The Museum itself is not very big, its collection will not overwhel, you or make you soend a whole day there. But still, you will find... More

Provided a nice break from walking the streets with some interesting art on display and reasonable entry fee. The main exhibit was particularly good fun. Well worth a visit.

We really liked this museum. It has a great variety of contemporary Art and Installations to view. We spent a morning here and would go back again go see what new work is being displayed.

There was a very interesting exhibition going on, and the museum itself was quite exciting as far as architecture is concerned.

I really enjoyed my time in this museum, for its permanent collection which is basically a history of art from the impressionists through Dada and Surrealism enhanced uniquely by "Interlude Rooms!" These are as defined on the wall signs that introduce one to them' "a different way of relating two an artist or a chosen theme." Some are hands on,... More

We came to visit the Buren expo and were not disappointed. Easy walking distance from the train station. Nice café with views of the city and the Ill river below. Great location.

The building has been temporarily transformed by Daniel Buren who placed translucent coloured squares on the glass façade, giving a strange 60's look from outside. Inside there is abundant space and light, subtly altered by the coloured squares. Interesting temporary exhibitions and a well-curated permanent selection including most of the well-know names. Well worth a visit. The café is good,... More

This big, bright museum had a good range of exhibits, from traditional paintings to a very interesting videography display, as well as the obligatory unusual installation art. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy the exhibits and a very nice cafe (delicious cakes!). It was easy to get to using tram B or F, getting off at Musee... More

I wasn't sure what to expect with this museum of contemporary and modern art but found that it had a decent collection of some well-known artists and artists who are not as well-known but who are worthy of an art lover's attention. The museum has a permanent exhibition of the art of Jean Arp. Although I was not very familiar... More
