Like other such medieval cathedrals, it was built part by part over hundreds of years--this church beginning in 1015. Saint Bernard... More

This is truly one of the amazing churches of Europe. The outside façade has such intricate and elaborate detail. The stained glass windows are fantastic. You also must go to the back of the church to see the large mechanical clock. This is a worthwhile church to see.

The clock show was not worth it but everything else was, including visiting the roof (worth the climb!) and taking an audio tour of it. Beautiful building and full of history.
