I am the kind of person who enjoys the big-picture. I love maps, history and seeing how the parts of something all fit together. Batorama did this for me with regards to Strasbourg. The cruise navigates around the island that is the centre of Strasbourg with a half hour tangent to the European parliament and back. This lets you get... More

The Strasbourg Bateau Mouche is something not to miss while in town. The trip takes you along the canals and is narrated in a choice of four or five languages via personal headphones. [As an aside, the English version seemed to have been recorded by a Nice Canadian guy.] It's a lovely trip through history, including modern times. The boats... More

Different way to look around the city and see what is out there. Maybe try in a not sunny day. it is good after all but if it is not your type of things do not try it.

Audio commentary in English was a bit bland, simply stating facts. It needed to lighten up a bit. The views from the boat were slightly spoiled by the sun blinds on the covered canopy. Just as well there was air conditioning as it was quite hot. If the weather is dry an open boat would be better.

The ride lasted about 1 hour and seriously, I thought it was not worth it. First, there were not much narration and you are just left sitting and looking at the scenery. Second, Strasbourg is not that big and you can do the walking yourself. The only thing is that the ride took you to the European Parliament which is... More

The boat tour was very interesting. It was very relaxing to view the city by boat. The audio tour included an abundance of historical information about the city. Well worth the time and price.

We don't do boring boat trips- I can't think of anything worse than sitting on a boat floating down a short stretch of water and back again. HOWEVER the difference with the Strasbourg one is that you do a circuit and there are various locks and bridges. You get a well rounded view of the Strasbourg centre. You also get... More

Family day visiting from Germany with a reservation in advance for 245pm on a covered(highly suggested in summer daytime hours)boat with climate control.Glare is high and obstructs photos. The boats were full and not a lot of commentary-available in many languages. However, the sites spoke for themselves and were so nearby that little was needed to enhance their charm. Would... More

The voice is monotone, and boring, only 30 minutes talking out of 1 hour 10. The queue is huge. The seats are absolutely uncomfortable. The positives: not that hot, you actually know something about the city after, and you can see some interesting things, like the opening bridge.

We received a coupon for a "free' ride in our Strasbourg Pass booklets. As others have mentioned you can't use this coupon between 2-4 PM but that doesn't really pose any problem. We traded our coupons for the tickets at the office and half an hour later were cruising on the waterways. Our boat was uncovered, which at first worried... More
