In its defence, it is well run and orderly, although long queues for tickets. However if you've walked or biked around the area you are not going to see anything you haven't already, making it a complete waste of time and money. The seats are also very uncomfortable. I highly recommend only using the covered boat with AC if it... More

The boat tours run for 1hr 15 mins throughout the day. It is a good idea to stop and book your tickets in advance to you can choose the correct boat. We chose the open boat and decided to go after 9pm since it was such a hot day. The boats get busy but you can see clearly from any... More

We enjoyed learning more about the city & history of Strasbourg on this boat tour. We were on a covered boat with AC. It was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit & was still pretty warm on the boat. The earphones worked well. The boat was clean. Toilet is at the back. This is a relaxing way to see s & learn... More

Lovely city, lovely way to see it, but the commentary I could take it or leave it sorry, just too boring. However, this is one hell of a city and the boat is the way to see it, so do go...everyone else is!

BATORAMA: an extremely disappointing experience! Apparently, Batorama has two types of boats: one large, open boat, and a slightly smaller, covered boat. We saw happy tourists riding the large open boat along the channels in the morning; so we decided to book a late afternoon cruise (total cost 25€, not cheap). When we showed up at the set time to... Booked on this trip on recommendation. Modern, clean boats, gentle tour of around an hour with optional headphone commentary. Excellent way to explore. If it's hot (and it was) booking a 'climatisé' trip in one of the covered boats is worth the wait, even if it's not the next one to go...you can then enjoy and hour of air-con whilst... More

There is a covered and uncovered boat which run about every 30 minutes. We took the uncovered as the day was very nice. It is about 1 hour 15 minutes and a good way to see the sites. You have headphones so you hear some history about the city. Middle of the boat is the best for taking pictures as... More

With daytime temperatures in the 30's we waited until just after 9.30pm before we went on the tour. You are given headsets that have a description of what you are seeing as they come up. There is an option for a children's version of the narrative. The cost was about £10 each and really worth it.

We had limited time to see Strasbourg as it was a stop over on our way back from Switzerland. This tour was a great way to see the city quickly. Boat had aircon which was brilliant in the July heat.

Really enjoyed the ride. The audio commentary was very informative. Definately recommend to anyone visiting Strasbourg.
