Everything you need to bring home from the beautiful city of Colmar is available here: Alsatian wines, local cheese, souvenirs, and you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and local pastries in one of the coffee shops inside. It is more than market, I think it's a petite French gourmet palace.

We have been to many covered markets, so this was not exceptional, but I'm sure took care of the local workaday folks needing fruits and veggies. There is a coffee bar and a few wine/beer bars. As I... More

The market was clean. We stopped by to have coffee and bought many types of herbs from the market. Some sellers can't speak English but they are very friendly.

The Colmar "roofed garden" displays a dozen of local producers of fruits, vegetables, meet (foie gras) and prepared dishes, all from Alsace region. Nice setting. Don't miss the boat trip on the river Lauch / Little Venice.

I was expecting so much from the covered market. It was like any other market, quite small and not very busy. It was a disappointment!

Visit to Colmar was one of our excusions from our Uniworld Rhine Cruise. This French town was amazing & historic, our local tour guide was very informative & took us to the Marche Couvert. This enclosed market was very interesting with all the local produce available for the locals & visitors. If you would like to have a light meal... More

I was very pleased to find this covered market close to where I was staying in the Little Venice section of Colmar. It was a great place to go for a light breakfast and an excellent cup (or two) of café au lait. It is very clean, bright and well-laid out, with fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses and more. It was... I stopped off in Lè Marché Couvert just to look around, and left with a bag full of meats and cheeses for an evening dinner. There was also plenty of produce, meat, fish, and other items, including a variety of spices and Asian items. This is not a place to go if you want to dine in, although I did... More
