had a weeks' cruise early Aug. We had a ruby deck cabin at the stern which to be honest was cramped and the 'bathroom' was tiny. How some of the larger passengers used the toilet or shower defies my imagination. There is a fair bit of noise from the equipment and machinery at the stern which can be annoying. However ,the crew... The Swiss Corona was great, the staff, all Eastern European, were brilliant and as professional as they come. Trips were well organised as was the hiccup on leaving when our train was 90 mins late at Lyon meaning a lost Eurostar connection at Lille. Well done Ros for sorting it out so professionally. Only major minus mark, with SNCF not... More

The Riviera cruise is well organised with the Swiss Corona a well run boat with food to a high standard and very efficient and friendly crew. The boat had a complete refit last year and therefore was in good order. We flew BA from Heathrow to join the boat which appears to be far less hassle then travelling by Eurostar/TGV.... More

This was our first experience of river cruising and we were not disappointed. The MS Swiss Corona is an exceptional boat as are the staff. The whole team were delightful, nothing being too much trouble for them. They all spoke excellent English (puts us Brits to shame) and were friendly but professional at the same time. The cabins were kept... More

Anyone who suffers from a mobility difficulty must consider whether or not they can cope with this cruise. The TGV option has two serious drawbacks. Firstly they do not seem to operate a ramp system to help passengers with walking or balance problems. When the train arrived in Avignon (and it must be the same for Lyon) the tour rep... More

This river cruise was the best we've ever had. AMA Waterways went way beyond the normal for its passengers. We had 3 days in Barcelona, with sightseeing and exploring including Montserrat. Then a bus trip to Arles and onto the AmaDagio for 7 nights. This ship is an older one in their fleet but it is in pristine condition. The... More

Thanks to Riviera once again for an excellent holiday. I have been on the MS Swiss Corona before but last time was in 2012 on the Rhine - since then it's had a refurb and been relocated to the Rhone and Soane rivers in France. Excellent trips and scenery throughout with the exception of the evening stop at Tournon sur... More

We just returned from the July 26 Viking cruise on the Buri from Avignon to Chalon-sur-Saone. It was excellent all the way. The ship was clean and young and had great amenities. The cabin was well designed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great and the bathroom floor was heated. The food and wine were gourmet delights. The service... More

We did a Viking Tour cannot fault the boat, the staff , the service and food. It was all well organised . However a couple of places we moored were not the best locations, there are a lot of locks and the actual time spent cruising during daylight was not as much as we had anticipated. The Rhone is only... More

Just returned from an amazing river cruise through southern France from Avignon & Arles to Chalon-sur-Saone and Lyon, courtesy of Riviera Travel. Fantastic weather - endless blue skies, sunshine and temperatures in the thirties. The MS Swiss Corona is a fabulous vessel and ALL of the crew are even more fabulous. The food was amazing as were the places that... More
