fantastic museum showing the history of policing in Manchester, it has the old staion office and booking in desk, original cells and loads of really interesting paraphernalia including wanted posters, several police vehicles on display, the staff showing people around are ex police officers which adds to the interest as they have first hand experience and knowledge, this museum is... Just visited today and it was busy with a good atmosphere. The retired police officers added a great insight into the bygone days. Would recommend anyone to visit. Spent over three hours here !

I am lucky enough to live just 4 miles outside of Manchester city centre so decided to take the bus into Manchester Piccadilly to visit this museum the only day it is usually open on my day off work which is a Tuesday. It was only a 5 minute walk from the bus station and about a 10 minute walk... More

I wasn't sure how much you could tell about Police, but it's pretty well all here! From the very start right up to day plonk. The only thing I felt was missing was a laid out modern-day control room - this could be in the room that tells how the Magistrates Court was built. The staff are exceptional and answered every... More

I visited this Victorian museum with my 6 and 12 year old niece and nephew during the holidays. We all absolutely LOVED every minute of it. The staff are ex police officers, some of whom were dressed in genuine historic police uniforms and they told some very interesting and hilarious real accounts of things they had done during their time in... My family and me went there no expecting to find a very lively museum. The staff were very friendly filling us with information and they also were great entertaining my 3 years old nephew. It is not a huge place but It is worthy the visit on my opinion.

Only open half a day and wasting a building which is on expensive site. It is only a small poise station with photos on the walls and badly presented items. Childish and poor for such a force.

We took our 7 year old here and it is a fab little gem of a museum. The volunteers are brilliant and the information is great! The police officers that were there on the visit we did were there with a traffic car and the new rainbow car that is to be used to raise awareness against hate crime! Brilliant... More

What a wonderful attraction! I went with my family my daughter 12, my son 8 and my husband. Looking for things to do in the summer holidays we came across this. It is a free attraction and it relies on donations. We learnt a lot and the kids loved trying on the police uniforms and hats. They had cells weapons... More

Well worth a visit if you are nearby, entry is free, and with loads of information on display, who can say you're not getting your money's worth. The exhibits include a range of historic motorbikes and other forms of police transport, a crime room with descriptions of various crimes, some objects related to them such as a collection of confiscated...
