The Hidden Gem

Hidden away in a back street off John Dalton St, St Mary's is rightly known as the "Hidden Gem". It's a tiny church and you should see it!

Have visited many times over the years. It is a small intimate church and beautiful and charming. My parents were married there in 1934 so it holds special memories for me. A must see if you are in Manchester.

Located in Mulberry Street, just off Brazenose Street in Central Manchester. I had no idea this church was here until I was reading Bill Rogers crime fiction books located in Manchester . Having found it tucked away in a back street I went inside the understated frontage and was impressed with the sheer beauty inside.

Beautiful church and worth the effort to find it. Lovely peace and tranquility right in the heart of the city. Do yourself a favour and take 10 minutes to soak up this tranquil place.

l have always loved this church, from a very early age. Hidden away in the heart of Manchester City centre, you wouldn't know it was there. Especially at this time of year, when they put the nativity display out. lt is magical, as well as memorable. Opportunity to reflect, in calm and quiet surroundings. The little Gem (AKA St Mary's... Mulberry street in Manchester is home to one of the finest fruits in the North...St Mary's RC church. Hidden in the heart of this hectic industrial hub is a place of peace and tranquility far from the madding crowd. An architectural delight in itself take a look inside and the interior will take your breath away. Religious or not Manchester... More

Did not know it existed until I stumbled across it. Very close to the town hall but what a surprise. Church is small but the interior is very beautiful and very calming. Lovely place if you want a few moments to reflect in a calming manner.
