With a huge variety of performances, The Lowry's Lyric and Quays Theatres offer a wealth of fabulous entertainment, including West End musicals, the very best in drama, live bands, famous comedians, plus world class dance and opera.Gallery entry is free and you can enjoy the work of one of the nation's favourite artists, LS Lowry, in changing exhibitions of his work which we hope will offer some surprises. At the same time, experience work by artists of local, national and international renown to compliment our Lowry exhibitions. There's always something new and refreshing to see in our galleries. With family fun throughout the building, guided tours, the Meet Mr Lowry film, plus participatory activity for all ages, The Lowry is a great day out. « less

Visit the Lowry regularly for various shows, the two latest being Lord of the Flies and then the Ice Show. The Lyric Theatre is comfortable but the decor is depressing. We don't like the seats in the front stalls because there is no centre isle and it is difficult to see the stage when seated further back. The circle has by... More

The Lowry itself is lovely. You can go to a show, go around the art gallery and also look at modern pictures (photos etc) Then if you have time you can walk across to the Lowery Outlet Centre. No hussle but get shops which are cheaper than the High Street. So start at the Lowery and take in the views/shops... More

Attended for the Lowry exhibition but actually enjoyed the Yeo pictures more. It was difficult to concentrate on the Lowry works while a talk was going on in the same room...unfortunately the group followed us as soon as we tried to get away!

I went with my 24 year old daughter - so not a child - to see the Robin Cousins 'ICE' show on Tuesday 15th April 2014. We always used to go to the 'Dancing on Ice Tour' which was always brilliant with audience participation and to be honest expected 'ICE' to be something similar. The Lowry theatre as a theatre... At The Lowery there is something for everyone, Theatre, Various Art Galleries, Restaurants, Shopping Outdoor water facilities. You can see original L.S. Lowery paintings with explanations of his work. The building its self is very photogenic particularly in the evenings when lit up.

The building, situated by the water, is worth a visit if only to experience it's quirky shape and vivid colour scheme! It is a popular venue for a variety of artistic events and the most recent production I attended was the brilliant 'War Horse'. The gallery is also worth a look, with a large collection of work by Lowry and... More

With good food, good shows, The Art Gallery with Lowry's work on display, the Imperial War Museum North and the home of football, Old Trafford just across the footbridge, the Lowry shopping outlet and lots of interesting things happening throughout the year this is a place to at least consider taking a look at, even if it's just to look...
