Really nice tour!!! Although I have been living in Manchester for a while now and had visited most of the sites on the walk on my own during my time here, it was great to visit them again with a guide that had so many great anecdotes about them (and first hand anecdotes as well, having being part of the... On June the 21st we went on this tour. After going on the joy division tour it was great to see Craig Gill again and he didnt disappoint. The day was packed with information as Craig knows so much with being with the Inspiral Carpets. The highlight of the day was the visit to the Salford Lads Club. Craig is... More

My daughter & I travelled from Norwich to go on The Smiths/Morrissey tour & it was well worth the effort. Excellently hosted by Craig, who put his personal slant on many of the features of the tour, which added to the overall enjoyment for us. To have someone who was in the music scene when this fantastic period was happening... More

Enjoyed the tour but felt it was dragged out a bit to justify the £25 fee per person. Really enjoyed the commentary by the tour guide. Fascinating stuff but couldn't see morrissey enjoying it lol.

Thanks for leaving your review, your comments will be taken on board, The tour is long at approximately 3 hours, this is not to justify the price. I try not to rush people round and give everyone enough time to get their photographs, the only way the tour could be made shorter would be to not go inside Salford Lads... More

On the 18th May( which happened to be the anniversary of Ian Curtis's death),we had booked for the Joy Division tour. This was the first tour of this kind we had been on. The tour was run by Craig Gill who the drummer for the group Inspiral Carpets. If your thinking about one of these tours, get booking now. What... More

First of all we called the day before during the week when the website clearly stated that it ran its tours during weekends only. Craig picked us up at the train station and took us on an unbelievable tour showing us the sites of famous bands like The Stone Roses, The Smiths, Joy Division and Oasis. Hell we were so... More

Was really looking forward to having a private tour of Manchester for months. Craig said he was going to pick us up for the tour. Apparently he arrived before we did and left shortly thereafter. He never responded to phone calls, texts, emails, tweets, anything we could think of. Waste of a trip and a lot of money.

Dear Amy, You emailed me the morning of the tour asking to be picked up at 12.30 pm (an hour earlier than had been previously been arranged). I replied to confirm. I was at Piccadilly Station at 12.30 pm as you requested. I then emailed you giving my exact location. I left the station at 1.10 pm after waiting 40... More

So, we spent over $800 of our money, spent hours upon hours travelling to get here and Craig never showed up. He didn't answer our calls, emails, voicemails or texts. If you fancy spending hours waiting for him in the rain go ahead. complete waste of a days vacation, and our hard earned money. Absolutely disgusted

Hi, I appreciate your comments but they are completely untrue, I was at there at the meeting point and at the arranged time, in a bright yellow minibus with Manchester Music Tours on the side, I waited there for your group for 40 minutes: As I have explained to the other 2 negative reviews posted by your group. You booked... More

This is something I've been wanting to do for years and years, having read the excellent Morrissey's Manchester tour book in the past. If you're a fan of The Smiths, you absolutely have to do this tour when you visit Manchester-it's the only reason I made the trip but I built plenty of other stuff around it. I won't spoil... More
