This museum is huge! There is so much to see, the best part for us was the talk and demonstration of actual machines used from the cotton industry. This is a must visit museum if you are in Manchester

just loved this museum, plenty of history. They make some mini shows which is very nice and free! The second floor has some Science games for kids which is not so big as NEMO in Amsterdam but is very cool too.

Kids can't resist this place. It manages to make the most basic bits of science great fun to learn (Want to understand gearing? No. Want to lift a mini all by yourself with the help of gears? Yes). Adults will enjoy it every bit as much. There's a steam train to ride on and a good cafe to eat in.... More

This place is an absolute hoot! There's so much to; see, learn and explore. I wish I hadn't left it till so late in the day to visit, be sure to arrive early to make the most of all the exhibitions and displays. I'll definitely visit again.

The entrance is next to the free city bus stop. Went during half term and although busy it didn't feel cramped. There is too much for one day with many interactive activities for all ages. Lots of presentations and good facilities. Well worth a donation for a really good day.

We enjoy going to museums as a family and this didn't disappoint. We only managed to get through about half of the exhibitions so will be back soon to... More

More to see than you will have time for in a normal relaxed day. Definitely worth allowing plenty of time of going more than once. School holidays may sometimes be crowded and noisy
