although I have lived in Manchester for over 60 years I had never visited this museum. I had 1 week off work to finish my hols off in January this year. Not enough cash to go abroad so visited museum of science and industry. Very interesting and so big. Imperial war museum was also very good. The chill factor was... More

This museum is not on the outskirts of town but right at the heart of things. Come and spend the day and whatever your age you will find something of interest, something you will never forget - what it is, I don't know because it will vary from person to person. And when it is time to leave, you are... More

The MOSI is a great day out for all the family. In a series of giant exhibits, the visitor learns about the industrial heritage of the city, from the first passenger railways, to the first computer. The museum occupies a large area in Manchester's historic Castlefield area, and visitors are free to. Roam around at will.

Very interesting place to go, especially when they have special displays on, especially when the weather is bad. If you have kids, there's lots to interact with & fun for the kids & a café. Easy to get to via tram or bus from city centre.

A very educational and worth while must visit site of Manchester. I didn't want to leave. From the demonstrations of stream engines to the cotton mill MOSI has got something for all the family. I'd recommend you also take a visit to building 3 where they've currently got an exhibition on microscopic imagery.

From eating a picnic lunch on an old steam train to taking a ride on a flight simulator. there are interactive science games for children and adults to enjoy. The airplanes exhibited are fantastic as are all the other antiquities. There are special film shows through out the year,... More

Love it here fantastic place to visit with kids or even without! The displays are good and informative, love all the industrial stuff and the engines and train station. Loads to see and it's free apart from the special displays.

Absolutely brilliant for children I was disappointed at quite a few parts not being accessible, especially as the schools were on holiday There is such a lot of varied things to see, plenty of toilets, 2 eating places. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful

great education and entertainment for the children, lots to look at and also do. You can also attend certain shows at a adequate price, with a cafe and a lot of history to manchester, and things for children to get involved within.
