If you need something to do in Manchester then look no further. It is an excellent choice for a day out with the kids. they love it everything, we visit regularly. Couldn't recommend it more. I personally love the challenges of putting the puzzles together etc. We thoroughly enjoy this place and sure you will too.

We combined a couple of hours in the museum with the Coronation Street tour. There are 5 museum buildings in total 4 together with the car park (£4-50 for the day parking) and 1 across the road. It's good for adults and children with many interesting exhibits we really enjoyed the old cars and bikes. There is a cafe at... More

We went to the MOSI yesterday. The science bit was great, the air and space museum was exactly as I remember it from 30+ years ago. The big disappointment was the collider exhibition. It cost £20 for a family of 4. It just consisted of a 15 minute talking head video and then cardboard cut-out displays. Not for children or... More

We went there specifically to see the Collider exhibition which incurred a not inconsiderable charge and a recommendation to book online at least the day before. I personally was disappointed to find that it was at best a mediocre audio/visual presentation which would have been OK if we hadn't had to pay. It was also disappointing that some of the... More

The museum asks for a donation in place of an admission fee. or purchase a guide. great place for kids and adults who are interested in how Manchester helped start up the industrial revolution.

I visited this yesterday (20/08/14) before we went to do the tour of Coronation Street. Unfortunatly we didnt have time to see all of what was on offer, so a return visit will be required. What we did see was very interesting and informative and Highly recommended

A great place to come whatever the weather, free admission with lots of interactive stuff for kids young and old. During the school holidays there was story telling, create your own doodlebug and loads more. You really need to visit this museum more than once because there's too much to see in a day!

Really good place to take the kids. Loads of hands on stuff for the kids to explore. Expensive cafe. Take your own food and drink.
