We went for a friends day out and there really was something for everybody. The lady that welcomed us on reception was lovely and explained the layout of the museum and where all the buildings are located and there are plenty of maps around for you to take. The entrance to the museum is free bout they do ask for... More

Was really interesting and so much to see. Didn't see it all so will have to go back another day. Free entry but we were happy to give a donation. The machine demo showing how they made cotton was really informative.

Visited here on a school trip, never really liked going to museums but I loved this place. With it being a science and industry museum and it being very educational you run into a lot of other school groups, there's a lot of hands on activities to do throughout thr whole building and they aren't just educational but fun as... Went with family and 3 young children 5,3&2. Something for all ages, tasty fresh wholesome food in cafe (although bit on pricy side, but hey didn't pay to get in, so not complaining) The steam house with the demonstrations was particularly good with the character actors, and made me and kids laugh! Good day out had by all

Due to a wrong dated ticket for Corrie, we had to find something to do, this is within 5 mins of Corrie and well worth going around, cotton mill display, small steam train ride and plenty to see and do, fun for all ages and a lot explained, small space and air museum too. Wheelchair friendly except for train and... More

Very interesting for everyone. Has extra activities in the school holidays. Good location for visiting central Manchester. Check out the MOSI website for details. Car park excellent price £4.50 up to 6pm, but get there early as it fills up quick!

I have been to the MOSI many times and each time had been great. They always excel at the MOSI. I love how interactive they are and how they change during the year. How ever some of the activities during the exhibits do not work and need to be replaced. That's the only issue I have with it now is... More

I have been here many times. With friends, my partner and my son. Every time I have gotten something out of the experience. This time my favourite but was the photography exhibition it is wonderful. Some very interesting images of things that don't seem very interesting. I have seen lots of other amazing exhibitions previously. I enjoyed the underground Manchester... More

When we are at a loose end I always go here with my children. Currently aged 15, and 9. Have been going for years. Excellent day out. Can spend a couple of hours or all day and not see everything ... Depends how much you read or or how long your children spend in the "hands on" section.

excellent place, try to visit the other buildings as they have amazing stuff. The main building is a bit crowded. Did not like the new system were you feel forced to donate. We always donated to the museum when we went but no it seems mandatory
