Having been recommended by a friend, I visited here on Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon which turned out to be so much sunnier and warmer than forecast and showed the Parsonage Gardens section to its best advantage. Just happened to have timed my arrival for the performance of a medieval play with strolling players and guitarist, free too. The main Fletcher... More

We took the tram from Central Manchester to East Didsbury, and then after asking directions at the Bell House we walked to the Gardens. It was a short, easy walk with interesting houses to see along the way. We crossed the tables filled with folks enjoying a lazy lunch and entered the gardens, then spending about an hour (could have... More

The Fletcher Moss Botanical garden isn't large, however it is always a pleasure to visit. The change in scenery throughout the seasons is beautiful. I would just note that dogs aren't aloud in the botanical garden section, which is a pits, as I wanted to show my friend the flowers, but couldn't because I had a dog. I often go... More

Absolutely love fletcher moss, me & my partner have been going regularly ever since we started seeing each other so it has lots of lovely memories for us! I fell ill a few years ago & now require a wheelchair & am really pleased we can still access most of the park. Lots of lovely picnic spots & little areas... More

My wife and I found the online brochure to be deceptive; it gives the impression of being somewhere breathtaking. We anticipated wandering through a vast expanse of various colourful flowers, trees and bushes ....Imagine our disappointment when we found ourselves cautiously pottering around narrow paths in what can, at best, be described as a large back-garden with a small pond... We have passed the entrance to the park many times in the car but decided to go yesterday. It is a wonderful park. It has a lovely rockery garden, woodland walk and rose garden. If you have children there is also plenty of room for them to run about. A true hidden gem!

After spending an hour trying to find somewhere to park and scratching my car down a narrow lane, fletcher moss park was a terrible disappointment! Very overgrown and lots of the plants were dead-the place looked almost derelict! Definitely not like the brochure! Wouldn't return there again!

Being there by seeing recommendations on tripadvisor and wasn't regret. The scenes are nice and worth 3 hours staying there. The garden is very fresh and suitable to walk, enjoy and read. I walk along the riverside with a gentle bridge. Impressive and would highly recommend for those who love nature. Only issue is the toilets having no sink to... More
