The city council with their potty parking policies and policing, coupled with huge business rates have killed this once popular up market shopping street. Theres not much there these days.

Becoming something of a ghost street - too many top quality shops moving out, presumably because the rents are too high and the fact that they are having to compete with the Trafford Centre. This is such a pity as King Street has always been renowned for the 'class' of shop

A great place to spend an hour or two wandering around individual shops...Jigsaw, Karen Millen, L'Occitane, Cath Kidson, Jack Wills, Diesel, DKNY, Whistles...... finishing with lunch at Jamies Italian.

King Street used to be the place to shop. There are still some big names here but most have moved to Spinningfields.

King street used to be the best and most exclusive street in manchester with high end shops etc inc Vidal Sassoon don't bother with it much now as most of the shops are moved out and a lot of them boarded up . Such a shame as this could be a great attraction for visitors if the top retailers took... More

This is the connecting area to the high end shops within manchester. It's clean and tidy, and a good base to start shopping from

All year-round, you have designer shops and right now the Christmas markets extend all the way down the centre of this street. Well worth a visit !

King Street Manchester is actually split and in three parts. From bottom to top there are some great eateries and shops. It used to be the case that the higher up King Street the better the provision. That is debatable so walk the full length and judge for yourself. Agent Provocateur at the top end is a favourite of mine.
