Some good shops but ...

.. not quite as good as it used to be. Some vacant slots now and the high end boutiques still survive. Not really worth going much out of your way for.

King street was always known for high end shops, but it appears that some outlets have closed however it's still worth visiting

Its a busy busy busy road full of shopping opportunities. I love the local independent wine bars that you can stop of at in between shops for some light bites of chilled wine. Downside is parking, its quite expensive in my opinion especially for street parking.

cool shopping street with some really very good architecture. Moreover, it is one of the most important thoroughfares of Manchester city centre, England. Formerly the centre of the north-west banking industry[when?] it has become progressively dominated by expensive shops. In addition easy to find park. worth visit

The city council with their potty parking policies and policing, coupled with huge business rates have killed this once popular up market shopping street. Theres not much there these days.

Becoming something of a ghost street - too many top quality shops moving out, presumably because the rents are too high and the fact that they are having to compete with the Trafford Centre. This is such a pity as King Street has always been renowned for the 'class' of shop

On a quick trip to Manchester I wanted to find the pretty green store for my hubby as he is a big fan of the brand. (It's right at the top end incase anyone else needs to find it). Nice enough shopping area, clean and tidy with no litter.....and some nic shops, a few boarded up but same as any... More
