Good night

Went here with a couple of friends. Was expecting it to be busier, but the music was good from what I remember! Had a good night in here

The previous reviews say it all, 9 years of living in Manchester the door staff remain the most aggressive and arrogant egomaniacs around. If you manage to get past them, £15 for entry on a Saturday, queue again to pay another £5-6 for a drink. Then your treated to camp pop music and high energy euro pop, and then more... More

Basically if you don't look like you fit in then you're not getting in. If you're straight you struggle to get in. Double standards or what. The couple of times I've been have been ok, but it just annoys me that you've got about a 10% chance of getting in.

Not what it used to be at all. Not worth the price you pay. That's if you can even get past the rude arrogant door staff. Never seen such a bad attitude. Trust me, these guys are killing what used to be a great place to go. Save your money and go elsewhere

I suppose I should bear in mind that I live and socialise in London but I still can't quite get over how inexpensive Cruz 101 actually is, even on a Friday or Saturday night. I can only speak for my experience but found the door supervisors, door and bar staff to all be cheerful, friendly and up for a chat... More

The doorstaff are some of the rudest and most aggressive I have encountered and have a very outdated, prejudiced and ridiculous view that all gay and bi men should be camp and flouncy. Every time I have attempted to get in I am subjected to a grilling whereby I have to prove my sexuality, which is embarrassing and stressful. The... More

Crux is a bit of a trashy sort of place. I've been here 4 times over the past 6 years and it hasn't changed at all. They have their formula for giving a certain type of gays a good night and that's that - they won't change their model just because some don't like it. Cruz is quite big -... More
