We were heading into Manchester to go to a concert and having never been to Manchester before we looked for things to do ( we didn't come all the way from Hastings to go shopping ) . I found this museum on the tourist information page. We managed to park close by and walked about 4 minutes . Like another... More

I enjoyed my visit to the museum, once I'd found my way in. I walked past the entrance to cafe muse, and up what I assumed to be the disabled access ramp. This only lead to the staff entrance of the cafe. A staff member let me in through this way and kindly pointed me towards the museum entrance. It... More

I used to visit regularly as a child and I remember it being very spooky, I loved it then and I still do. What a fantastic place! I've always really enjoyed this museum and have fond memories of my childhood and also taking my own child there more recently. If you are interested in animals this is the perfect place... More

My wife and I loved the taxidermy but we found most of the other exhibits very small. Only ended up spending around an hour here when most other Manchester museums have taken up much more of our time. It's free so that's a bonus!

But not that good either. It killed some time but thought it was a bit bland. Think we should have opted for science and industry museum instead!

Whether you are into fossils, Egyptology, dinosaurs or the universe, this museum is a great place to start. The museum is perfectly formed, with good access throughout. Our favourite area is the vivarium, we always enjoy frog spotting. A brief walk from Manchester Oxford road train station, it is easily accessible. There is a car park less than a five... More

Was ok, but was with a 13 year old that wanted Space, when we went into the air and space was just aircraft. was a tad disappointed. It was fine to have a look around maybe for younger ones.

We went especially to see the Siberian Exhibition, I was a little disappointed as I thought it would have been on a bigger scale. The museum itself was excellent, lots of interesting exhibits, many relevant to the local area which made it more appealing. The cafe has great reviews but was unfortunately full so we couldn't sample, would definitely go... More

A nice attraction and well located close to the City Centre. The staff are friendly and engaging and entry is free. Particularly like the area with live animals which is to the upstairs area.

I took my young son here for a day out. The variety of different things to see was brilliant. Something to interest everyone
