It was ok, felt a bit amateur, thing mixed up so felt a bit confusing, some of the staff very rude. Not that many displays. Have been to better museums. Is free to enter so I guess worth a look.

We have been here a few times now and it is always a great afternoon out. It has lots of intresting information and is a good free day out. The best thing was Stan the T-Rex.

Obviously not as big as the natural history museum but it was an excellent day out for my son and I. It had everything a 11 year old boy would want to see and the gift shop was very reasonable which is a bonus ( the man on the till told me they have a fair price policy). Will definitely... More

I love this place. I take my child every couple of months. Great on a wet or cold day and there's so much too see! There's a reasonably priced car park behind the museum usually about 3pounds ish for two three hours. The reason for bringing my child regularly is due to being able to talk about the displays there... More

We have been to the Manchester Museum many times and each time we go we find something amazing, obviously the displays change from time to time but even the existing displays seen for the second or third time always show us something new. Very good for children.

This is the museum which has undergone somewhat of a transformation in recent years from a stuffy, old natural history and cultural collection to something a lot more up-to-date and interactive for children, It's slightly out of town and so can only be reached by bus/car/taxis as there are no tram lines nearby, and is very much geared towards children... Just had an afternoon here but could have easily spent all day. Something for everyone with the added bonus of it being free. Can also highly recommend the Muse cafe. Efficient and friendly staff and great food at a very reasonable price.
