We stayed in Chipping Campden for a few days between Christmas/New Year and the town was very quiet yet this little pub was absolutely packed. We popped in for a drink on our first night and haloved it - the fires burning in the grates and the locals chatting at the bar gave it a great feel. We returned the... More

Lovely Inn, in a very good location. I imagine that is why it is a bit pricey for the standard of accomodation. We stayed in room 1 which other reviews tell me that it has a broken light shade since September, not a problem really but just not a good impression considering the price of the room. The bathroom is... More

This was our third visit in three years and we had a great time as usual. The room, food and Hooky beer were excellent. The staff ( with one exception ) were friendly and obliging, in particular the girls serving breakfast were a delight. We stayed in room 1 again, a large airy room with a pleasant outlook over the... I showed up earlier than the check-in time and was given a very surly belligerant greeting by the housekeeper. She obviously had never heard of the concept of treating customers politely. The quality of the lunch and service in the bar made up for the unpleasant morning though. The inn is near the high street and is quite convenient. But... More

Having just returned from a one night stay at the Eight Bells Inn, I felt compelled to remark on what a great experience this was. I fortunately stumbled across their website whille searching for a one night Valentine's weekend stay for me and my boyfriend. This was very last minute and was doubtful that there would be a vacancy, but... More

- - - is why this pub can charge so much. There are other places in town that offer rather better accommodation and food for the same or slightly less,so have a search round before you buy. Our room (5) was rather a disappointment;a mixed '50's decor with probably a genuine 50's bathroom (ie rather tired and disfunctional);noisy from the... More

We stayed at another inn nearby, but it our cab driver from Moreton-in-Marsh who recommended this place. The wine was fantastic, and the food great.Plus friendly service and nice, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended! More
