2 mins walk from town centre, free of charge, plenty to look at-- even kept 2 Xbox crazy teenagers interested for an hour plus. Must say the Kings Own Light Infantry display is outstanding worth a visit for this alone. Never seen as many medals in one place really gives you an insight to what it must have been like... More

Well worth going back and seeing what's in store from time to time. There's always something going on. if you have kids then it's easy to lose an hour or so in here.

My family are regular visitors to the Museum and Art Gallery and happily spend time exploring the collections as well as temporary exhibitions. On the ground floor, the galleries are full of interesting exhibits, with the spectacular Racing Trophies, Roman antiquities unexpected treasures such as the football medals won by David Pegg, a local lad who was one of the... I had not visited the Museum in several years, it was an OK way to spend an hour or so, pity the staff cannot show a bit more enthusiasm. It will tell you a little about the Doncaster district, but is looking very dated and shabby. Visit if you have an hour to spare when you are in Doncaster, but... More

Really interesting for young and old a few interactive displays to keep kids happy .Nice layout easy to walk round with some interesting local history. Free to enter nice little gift shop but could do with a cafe, rather than just a clix machine.

This is somewhere that the council could really do with investing some money to update and modernise, they have had the same things inside since I was a kid. Also it would be nice for it to be a bit more orientated around the history of Doncaster.

Not my ideal destination. Small and clinical gallery. Other than an impromptu Rolph Harris painting and a good Lancaster Bomber picture there wasn't much to hold our attention. 10 mins and you're done. But it's free, so if you're passing and it's raining - maybe.

With an hour to kill before the train I wandered to the museum and art gallery expecting a large civic building rather what appeared to be 60s school or library. Wants inside the exhibits were varied aimed at the younger generation including stuffed animals, Doncaster from Roman times to today. Some interesting artefacts. There is the light infantry museum as... More
