forget the idea of a zoo, your not standing behind bars seeing animals locked in lifeless concrete rooms, this really is animals living a close to wild life as possible whilst being stimulated and happy. I don't want to spoil this for people so get in the car drive down and spend a day experiencing an amazing experience

Although it can seem expensive to get in for a family you can spend a full day there. I would recommend taking a picnic as the food and drink can be expensive. There are plenty of picnic tables. Ideally its a place to visit on a lovely sunny day so you can stroll round and look at the animals basking... More

We had heard about YWP for ages but to be frank expected a chicken tied to a fence and a dead goat. We were blown away when we got there. For years we have travelled hours to zoos across the country when this one was 30 minutes away from Sheffield. It has all the animals you would expect from any... More

When I looked on website it states wheelchair friendly ... How ever this was not the case I often take my mum out in her wheelchair so I am use to pushing her around but this was very hard going as all the paths were small rubble stones twice I nearly tipped her out please don't think of using a... Our family loved this attraction and thought it was very good. Even better than you get military discount. The petting pens are very good as the children can interact with the animals.

Everyone who works at yorkshire wildlife park should take a bow. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The park is spotlessly clean and the animals look really healthy. The facility's for the disabled are excellent. Our day at the park was a truly wonderful experience.

I have to say that I agree with other reviewers that YWP is up there with Chester as one of the best conservation parks in the country. The animals are well looked after and the staff very knowledgeable and clearly love working there. I and my wife fully intend to become Annual Members and I would strongly recommend all animal... Great park, very well kept with interesting and massive enclosures. The park needs a full day to do it justice and wear flat shoes ladies as it is miles and miles to walk around. The only negative points I have are that because the enclosures are so big, the animals can be hard to see if they are at the... More
