We have been to quite a few wildlife parks / zoos and this is one of the nicest. The enclosures are all a good size and all the animals seem well cared for. The weather wasn't great on our visit and it was busy being the summer holidays but we had a nice afternoon. The gift shop and food area... More

How amazing the Yorkshire wildlife Park is! How in 5 years have they achieved so much as a "dynamic centre for conservation & welfare", on the site of a former riding school, I'll never know as I have seen it grow and flourish into one of the Top attractions in the county & probably the uk!! Ok , I may... More

After being opened a few years we decided to try it out, entry prices are reasonable as are food and drink prices. The wildlife park is still growing and we visited there latest animal a polar bear and at this time the park is expanding rapidly. Some of the enclosures were fantastic, the animals ran free all around you and... More

Not only this is a great day out with family, the staff is really helpful as well. The only drawback is it is a lot more expensive than you expect it to be. Family friendly, lots of places to sit & enjoy a picnic.

Booked the night time experience and went after work. Loved the fact you could walk up close and interact with the Wallaby and monkey .Aware most of the animals have come from other zoos but the leopard prowling up and down the same track, even though he had a big enclosure was upsetting. Loved the tigers and felt they had... More

What a fabulous day. This place is amazing puts others in the shade. We were lucky enough to go the day after the polar bear enclosure was opened and if I'm honest I lost my heart to Victor he's beautiful. But there is so much more Meerkats as you go in, the lions, giraffes, tigers, leopards and so much more. I'm... More

Wildlife Parks in the United Kingdom appear to fall into two categories. The first is the giant country estate where some rich benefactor has turned a possible private collection into a money spinning adventure in the manner of Longleat. The second is a rather newer breed, usually opened by a conservation enthusiast and fully signed up to the idea of... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our day here today, well worth a visit and highly recommended! Parking was fairly straightforward and as we had pre-booked we walked straight in via fast track - well worth doing! We were given a basic map with a printed list of the literally dozens of feeding times and talks on offer. We went to two - the... More

My wife and I, both avid animal enthusiasts, visited Yorkshire Wildlife park for the grand opening of their new Polar Bear exhibit and we were really impressed. Animal welfare is obviously paramount with many of the animals on display being rescued from other collections so they could be provided with more appropriate conditions. The enclosures here were some of the... More
