Smashing Zoo. This was My family's main reason for visiting Dudley as my daughter has adopted a Sumatran Tiger ( Joao ), and we weren't disappointed. It was gorgeous as was the young giraffe which pleased my granddaughter as she is a fanatic for giraffes. It is a bit hilly but there a train that will take to almost the... More

I last visited Dudley Zoo when I ead a student, nearly 50 years ago and it has certsinly improved! The animals are now in good sized enclosures and you are able to mingle with the Lemurs and walk through the Penguin enclosure. The zoo is on a steep hillside which leads upto the castle but for those who would find... More

I visited Dudley zoo on the 16th September 2014. I have to say I loved every minute. It was surprisingly easy to get to from birmingham via public transport, a quick train to dudley port and a short bus to dudley centre. I believe the price was reasonable for a zoo, there's an optional charge of one pound and a... More

My boyfriend and I visited the zoo during the week. It was lovely and quiet and all the animals seemed nice and relaxed. Considering it is an old zoo they do the very best with what they have. They have lots of different viewing points which enables you see the best of the animals, especially the tigers and Orangutans. We... More

We went to the zoo expecting to spend just an afternoon there. We got stuck in traffic and arrived a little later than expected. We were charged £51 in total and promptly told the zoo closed in an hour and half - we weren't offered a reduce price ticket and my little nephews really wanted to go in as we'd... More

It had been years since I last visited Dudley Zoological Gardens & my lasting impression wasn't great so reluctantly decided to visit again. Well what a brilliant job the team have done to change that impression. All the animals are clearly very well cared for & overall I was very impressed with their enclosures. It was amazing to get up... More

We went to Dudley Zoo after reading its website and glowing reviews. We were definitely not let down. The animals were happy and well treated, and my son absolutely loved every second we were there. The memories we have from Dudley Zoo will last a very very long time. I highly recommend Dudley Zoo and if youre reluctant to go,... More

If my daughter didn't have such a great time, I would have given Dudley Zoo a lower rating. The zoo seemed terribly run down to me. The animals' environments could have been so much better. I felt sad for the animals. Employees were standing around several exhibits, but not engaging the children and educating them about the animals. This zoo... More

This zoo is a good place to take children and yes, does show you a wide variety of animals which is obviously great. However, it saddened me so much to see the small and boring cages that clearly lacked stimulation for the animals. I was shocked to go into the reptile area and see how small and unrealistic the environment... More

We took our grandaughter to Dudley Zoo the other day. I'd forgotten what it was like because it was about 30 years since we took our kids. I must admit, it didn't disappoint. The animals are housed in various enclosures that seemed to be arranged in an upward spiral from the entrance to the castle. It can stretch your muscles... More
