I had never beed and always wanted to visit. Got there and was impressed with the building so we thoughy we would go inside. We sat in the lounge, it was a mess, dirty plates and cutlery everywhere and it took 15 minutes to be served and a further 20 minutes to have our drinks (1 pot of tea and... More

Very good food especially steak. Staff very friendly and it was fun watching the marble rolling up a slope and it was nice to meet the chickens and other birds in the grounds of the pub. Will definitely return at a later date.

Had my sister with me for the weekend and decided to take her to the crooked house on the way home from day out and she loved it. We stopped for a drink in the small bar and giggled for ages at the wonky windows and floor . I like the fact that this public house isn't all fancy and... More

After a visit to the Black Country Museum find time to see the Crooked House at Lower Gornley. A natural phenomenon created by underground mining. Inside the public house everything is topsy turvey, Watch coins roll up hill, the tilted grandfathers clock but still works. A superb visit

You would think a sunny Bank holiday Monday in a pub with a lot of outdoor space would be great but it wasn't 1 there is no designated disabled parking how is that acceptable in this day and age? 2 inadequate staff meant 15 minute queue for the bar 3 tables not cleared at all despite staff standing about -... Took our 2 daughters (6 &10) for a visit on 09/04/15. They found it an interesting twist to a normal stop for a drink out and had lots of fun on the play area. The staff were friendly and the drinks were nice. No food ordered on this visit so cannot comment, but the kids want to go back again.
