We were told about this place by locals, and it certainly wasn't a disappointment! Tucked away down a pretty country lane, the first sight of this place is pretty awesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Were able to provide history and information about the pub. Definitely worth a look.

This pub is down a winding narrow lane, parking can be a bit tight depending on the time of year, the first sight you get of the pub makes you think you have had a pints, plenty of outside seating small bar and lounge, look out for the clock and also the snooker ball you can try on the window... Delightful pub in a tucked away spot. I'd recommend the mulled wine! Scrumptious... Lovely staff and lovely crowd, well worth a visit ;)

The crooked house is worth a visit to see the pub , we visited the restaurant with visiting family. The lunchtime menu was on offer. The dishes sound lovely. We chose food from the seasonal menu. The waitress explained that the dishes were deconstructed , quirky enough and a new experience. I chose the Stilton balls, they came beautifully presented... More

I took my 4 year old daughter here on my own one lunch time. It had been many years since I had last been there and dropped in on the off chance they still did food but mainly to show my little girl the 'wonky' house. We were pleased to find that they did food and were ushered into the... More

Although this house is quirky and inviting to look at, I can assure you that the staff are unwelcoming. Myself, mother and my 2 cousins from Australia visited on 16th September. On arrival we found it difficult to take a picture as all of the outside lights were broken. We then ventured into the lounge and felt that we were... More

The original pub building is an optical illusion nightmare, throwing your senses off guard - must see. As for the restaurant - great regional pub food, all locally sourced where possible. Yes the approach is an adventure, but I think it adds to the experience.

Its been a long time since I visited The Crooked House.,..... But what a dump....... I remember it as a busy ,quirky pub with all the charm of yesteryear, well run. But took friends to the Crooked House on Saturday but how the thinks have changed. I know that part of the entrance road belongs to the adjacent quarry but... More
