We went to see Henning Wehn at the Dukes and it was fantastic. He was hilarious. The service at the bar was also great with the option to preorder interval drinks. We did so and they were all ready to pick up as soon as the interval started. Saved queuing time.

This well established arts theatre and cinema has an excellent programme of films, often foreign, and plays. A play is performed each summer in Williamson Park. There is a lively bar with coffee and drinks.

The Dukes Theatre draws its crowds from Lancaster and further afield with its mix of locally produced plays, shows and performances, it's touring companies, and numerous one-off specials that range from quirky music ensembles and bands, to national-name stand-up comedians. They've two main performance areas - a traditional, raked, stage, and an intimate 'in-the-round' space, as well as a third... More

Amazing and thought provoking peice directed by Louie Ingham. A play about yhe voting system and democracy and a young persons perspective. There was emotion humour and sadness with outstanding acting and stunning lighting.

Went to Hindle Wakes in Theatre-in-the-Round and it was just brilliant, as all the theatre productions at the Dukes are. The seating is all around the centre which enable the audience to feel part of the performance. Can recommend this experience.

I came to see a play here and was simply stunned - the location is great and the play brilliant. Can't wait for the next play.

Go and watch this fab production! Really entertaining for young and old. Truly magical and funny. Its aimed at 5+ years and for boys and girls alike. Its not pink and princessy at all and a real gem. Younger kids were still amazed and entertained, but the story might be a bit lost on them. Its shown in 'the rake'... More

Sadly, the Dukes do not provide live theatre all that often, but when they do it is excellent, they are a producing theatre and they should do more of it. The sound and sight lines are first class, The auditoria are both comfortable and the in the round has an intimate feel to it!
